Thread: Component speed counts for 1/10th in final assembly

Just did some experiments that seem to indicate that the speed modifier on subcomponents is divided by 10 (and rounded) when applied to weapons.

My approach was to make 2 of the same kind of weapon, one with components experimented to full speed only, the other with components experimented to full damage only. I noted the stats of the weapon at assembly, before doing any experimentation, and compared the differences in speed and damage.

RSF Sword:
**Damage experimented components**
ASC 24-49 -0.56
RSF Sword, at assembly: 206-510 2.3, base DPS 155.92

**Speed experimented components**
ASC 15-41 -1.916
RSF Sword, at assembly: 197-502 2.16, base DPS 161.52

difference in component speed: 1.356
difference in assembled speed: .14

difference in component max dmg: 8
difference in assembled max dmg: 8

Death-Hammer Pistol
**Damage experimented components**
ABPH 22-41 -0.43
ABPB 23-49 -0.52
Death-Hammer Pistol, at assembly: 207-505 2.26, base DPS: 157.53

**Speed experimented components**
ABPH 14-40 -1.57
ABPB 15-41 -1.83
Death-Hammer Pistol, at assembly: 191-490 2.01, base DPS: 168.83

difference in component speed: 2.45
difference in assembled speed: .25

difference in component max dmg: 9
difference in assembled max dmg: 15

In both these cases, the speed contributed to weapon assembly by the components seems to have been divided by 10 and rounded off. (Also note the weirdness going on with the damage on the pistols.... on the swords, the difference in component damage corresponded directly to the difference in weapon damage - but not so for the pistols)

Would be great if others would repeat the experiment with other weapons in order to confirm this.
