Ok, this new "SOE math" in the making of weapons is WRONG. Allow me to explain with numerous examples.
As I said previous, I made TWO different NEW-CU experimented components, ONEexperiemented fully into damage, alittle into speed and a 2nd experimented fully into speed, and alittle into damage. I did this on ALL Advanced Weaponsmith Components. These results on the COMPONENTS were very drastic, I was curious to see how the Damage Per Second (DPS) stats would be after final assembly.
Let's take a look and compare old weapons to new (with both newly CU crafted speed and damage experimented components)
Blaster Fists, these are for Combat Level 40 Characters.
These require (3) Advanced Power Handlers (what go into ranged weapons) and (1) Advanced Vibro Blade Unit...
The Vibroblade Units I made, came out with these stats... LOOK at the Damage and Speed differences:
Damage Experimented VBU: 23 min 48 max -0.99 Speed
SpeedExperimented VBU: 18 min 43 max -1.79 Speed
This is a 0.8 Speed difference! However, when I craft the Blaster Fists, they come out with these stats!!!!!
Damage Experimented VBU in Blaster Fist: 270-545 Damage 2.08 Speed with 210.91 DPS (Damage per second)
Speed Experimented VBU in Blaster Fist: 264-540 Damage 2.10 Speed with 216.87 DPS
WHERE IS THE -0.8 SPEED REDUCTION USING THE SPEED EXPERIMENTED Vibro Blade Unit? (VBU) I only see a 0.02 difference!
Ok, next, I made new Light Lightning Cannons (LLC). My old LLC's were 460-800 max damage 4.5 speed.
Again, I made two different Advanced Blaster Rifle Barrels (ABRB), one experimented for SPEED and one experimented for DAMAGE, here are the stats of those Rifle Barrels:
Damage Experimented ABRB 24 min 49 max -0.81 Speed
Speed Experimented ABRB 17 min 42 max -1.85 Speed.
This is a 1.04 Speed difference! However, when I made the LLC's, LOOK AT THIS!
Old LLC (converted CU stats): 257 min 594 max 2.77 Speed for 153.61 DPS
Damage Experimented ABRB LLC 304 min 617 max 2.44 Speed for 188.46 DPS
Speed Experimented ABRB LLC 299 min 611 max damage 2.36 Speed for 192.75 DPS
WHERE IS THE -1.04 SPEED REDUCTIONG USING THE SPEED EXPERIMENTED Advanced Blaster Rifle Barrel???? I only see 0.08 difference.
It gets worse.... Next I experimented on Gaffi Batons with a two fold approach (which got majorly nerfed if you had Acklay Gaffi's)
Again, I made a SPEED and DAMAGE experimented Advanced Reinforcement Core (ARC).
ARC stats:
Damage ARC: 23-48 damage -0.89 Speed
Speed ARC: 17-43 damage -1.708 Speed
This is a 0.818 Speed Improvement
Old Gaffi Baton: 137-301 (2.15) 101.87 DPS
Speed ARC + Speed Experimentation! 108-258 (1.8) 100.01 DPS (note: put 10 points into the Speed Line, 2 into Damage)
SpeedARC +Damage Experimentation! 113-262 (1.91) 100.01 DPS (note: put 10 points into Damage Line, 2 into Speed)
Damage ARC + Speed Experimentation! 147-293 (2.11) 102.87 DPS
Damage ARC + Damage Experimentation! 148-298 (2.19) 101.79 DPS
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE? The best DPS Gaffi came out using the damage experimented component and speed experimented weapon assembly? There is no -0.818 Speed reduction benefit from using the superior speed ARC and there is hardly ANY variance using ANY Components or ANY experimentation philosophy!!!!!! 100.01 DPS vs. 102.87 DPS, WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
Heck, only ONE method using NEW components and a NEW assembly even BEAT the old Gaffi Batons I used to make!
Not to mention, ALL new weapons have LESS Condition than pre-CU weapons.
I'm sorry, but the MATH involved in this new crafting system IS BEYOND THE KNOWN LAWS OF SCIENCE ESTABLISHED ON OUR PLANET!
How does a component with such drastically superior speed produce NO affect in the final crafted weapon? What do you think will happen when looted components are included into customs weapons? There will be very little gains made...
