Thread: KRAYT TISSUES POST CU ??

As a non WS I was just wondering if Tissues were still as valuable now given all the damage caps etc ? are my sets of 6 177 tissues going to make a good wapon ?

They should, but you'll want to wait a bit for WS's to get a feel for where the caps are and how loot enhancement affects crafting. From what I've gathered so far, the way to maximize tissues like yours is to put them in the weapons that have the higher damage, which you would likely do anyway. Then what would likely happen is you'd hit the damage cap, maybe even on assembly or after just a couple points. That would leave more points to go towards speed but depending on the speed of the tissues, that could be maxed before using all the points too, so the only place for the remaining points to go would be weight/accuracy or action costs.


The difference in crafting now and then is before if a weapon was 400 max unenhanced and you added 177 tissues, it would end up at 577 or 578 depending on rounding. But the current system is designed to keep damage ranges among weapons much tighter, so that's not going to happen anymore. On the bright side, if those tissues enable you to max dmg and speed, then you can improve accuracy and/or lower action costs, both of which can potentially enable you to cause more damage. The other benefit of maxing a weapons speed/dmg during crafting is you don't have to get it sliced, since it' can't be improved anyway. And in the future slicing system, slices will wear out and have to be fixed, so that's a hassle avoided in addition to not having to worry about scans, not that they are a major issue at this time.
