Does someone have a list of every resources we need (say if we wanted to make everything in the game)

I'm still rather tramatized by the shear ammount of resources i'm going to need (After sitting and staring at my monitor last night for 30 minutes and resisting the urge to drop it all [when some guy tried to sell my irolum gas at 45cpu]).

Maybe if I had a list, and spent a month or 2, doing nothing but collecting resources Things would be easier.

What do you all think, and does such a list excist?

http://www.swgcraft.com is your friend...resources spawning on your server, all the schematics and resource requirements with reverse searching. And go check out the forums in the weaponsmith section and try out Foomans WST(weapon smithing tool) its the best excel spreadsheet program to ever come out to help a SWG player.

ummm, how about looking at the schematics? They tell you exactly what is needed and what qualities are important.

It appears that you have power-grinded your way to Master Weaponsmith. Huge mistake. Start mining like crazy. As you said, you probably have at least 2 months of mining ahead of you.

Wee nice of you to assume.

No I just didn't make anything cause who wants to buy to non master weapons. Anything I did make, sat on the bazzar or on my vendor not being purchase, cause I didn't have the Master Weaponsmith title, And when your 2-3 scout blaster on the bazzar, in a mix of 60-80 others, you don't have a chance.

The reason I asked for a list, is maybe someone allready sat down and wrote out ALL the resources needed, It's called not duplicating work.

I plan on spending 2 months doing nothing but collecting resources. But figured I'd ask for some info, Guess I'll just go do it myself.

Thanks Dova. your most helpful.

Nerfilicous and the manyotherunproductive grinders is why weapon prices are so HIGH.

Nerfilicous,

Frankly, no I wasn't very helpful because if there is something I cannot stand it is laziness. How do you ever expect to make Master quality weapons if everyone else does the work for you and you never take any time to research your craft or learn it?

Sheesh, I'd hope you'd take my post as a reality check. Let me guess, in 2 months you'll be posting asking how you should price your weapons instead of taking a bit of your OWN precious time to do some market research.

Unproductive? I've spent a ton of hours and resources making various weapons, posted them on vendors. To which they just sat there, I've advertisied, offered discounts, too many a "Sorry it's not a master weapon useless to me"

Actually I have a pricing scheme, from prices I used to pay before this whole hologrind fiasco.

I found what I wanted, http://www.firelikethis.com/resources.htm Provided me actually what I wanted.

I refuse to gouge people on the idea that some people have a ton of money so #$%$#%# the rest. I can remeber days when a nice T-21 cost 12K, and a good laser was 8k.

And also, I'm not a grind-smith, or doing this to get rich, money isn't an issue (beside, what does having 5M do for you? let you buy more overpriced quest items from some 10 year old who is hording them?), I'm honestly doing this because I did architect and quite enjoyed it. And I wanted to try out weaponsmith.

Like I said before, the reason I was asking for a list like provided above, is so I could make sure I know what exactly I'm harvesting, To check against a rough list I had. I didn't want to spend months collecting resources, then find out, I'm missing X.

So yes Dova you have been most helpful, in realising a lot fo things.

And I also hate people with elitest attitudes. So we'll get along fine.

look just because are not a master doesn't mean that your weapons will not sell. I just got master but before i did i was constantly bombarded by people wanting weapons. The reason for this is that I was searchable and had the title "Expert weaponsmith". I looked at these requests as a chance to learn about crafting and what it takes to make a good version of the weapon that the person wanted. I then sold them for what i thought the person would pay or cost. Sometimes in the case of a very needy person i gave them away. What this did is i slowly accumulated the resources I needed and i learned about crafting. I suggest you do the same. Secondly I hired a friend to survey for what i needed. I pay travel expenses plus 10k -30k depending on quality of resource found. This saved me for having to spend hours surveying. I think that if you offer this deal to a newbie he will jump at it. I paid for the surveying by selling some of the harvested resources. Last weekend before i got master i made 65k in weapon sales which shows that if you can make money even if u aren't master.

Yah I've decided my course of action, I will collect resources, and stock pile what I need. Making the componets as I gather enough to do so.

Tonight I'm hoping I can factory run a couple crates of advanced stocks.

I figure this is best, and I will also start making no advanced low-end newbie weapons, to sell/give to people who need it.

I figure the low-end stuff should help me out a little, and give me more time to play with experimentation and what does what. So when I get into the bigger stuff I know what works, etc.

Why bother? Just try and outbid me on the bazaar, or pay the auctioner to withdrawl and payoff him in something he wants. You mean you don't like getting spammed by bazaar auction bids by email, either?

Go make slow stocks, Nerfilicous, put them on your novice weaponsmith vendorand sell them within your own algorithmic price strategy. If it makes you happy, I have not right lordingit over you.

But I plan to sit asswet in this pool of muck sampling seaweed, til I think of another class I'd like to play with my next 6 mo renewal. Maybe DE, they are getting love.. Hmpf. My weapon resources would shift nicely into that class.

But then again, I could use these 9xx OQ green gems, and make long runs of glassware in chef. Sorta a waste of a goodresource tho. Hmpf, decisions, decisions! Since loot weapons are obviously better than craftables I gotta do something.
