Weaponsmith Archive

I am a novice weaponsmith and i have tried to craft everything that the novice skill will let me and i get no weapons crafting xp. I have another character that is a master weaponsmith and i am following the same schematics that i used to get him to master and nothing works. Is anybody else having this problem? By the way, my weapons crafting xp is not capped out. I currently have 0 weapons crafting xp. I am a novice weaponsmith 0-0-0-0.
