I've seen that happen alot, usually it's because a weapon looses some of it's *umph* as it gets damaged, I would imagine it happened so slowly the guy didn't notice it happening. When you repair it, it regains it's stats.

yeah i think when it goes below 50% then the damage starts to get lower as well as the condition. Once you reach like 1% the damage will be super low.

That's interesting what do you guys normally charge for a repair like that? I know being a guildmate you probably didn't charge him. Though on a repair like that you are basically giving him a new weapon to use all over again. I had someone hand me 4 weapons the other day and I have 99.7 repair kits and a +2 to weapon repair item. I rarely fail due to that and I took his scatter from 56/976 to 950/950 and an Enhanced LLC from like 156/850 to 825/825. Was actually amazed that both were successful even with the kits and mod I have.

I have only been asking between 1.5k and 2k per successful repair but make no guarantees due to the fact I am still starting out somewhat and can't afford to replace guns on the off chance I fail and that's just too much of a hassle anyway. I'm just thinking that seems awful cheap though as like I said it isbasically giving them a new weapon specially those that are well below 50% condition.

I repaired a Krayt FWG for a guildmate tonight.

I used a 96% tool, and his gun was at 100/850 or so. (I told him to get the use out of it, since it was likely to break). I press the repair button and hey presto, back to full condition with minor blemishes .

Now this is not unusual, and is not the first time it's happened.

What IS unusual is that when I returned the gun to him, he asked what I had done to it. He said that the damage, both min and max had INCREASED by about 20/50. I asked him was he sure, and that had it had a power up on it or something...He said definitely not.

So he nowhas his 300K weapon even better than it's original condition. I hope I get as lucky when I get round to having to fix my own...

Anyone else have anything like this happen them...?

I repair all weapons for free and just asks them to remember me for their next weapon purchase.
Most customers usually /tip me anyway and go buy some powerups or something so i figure I make cash from them anyway.
