Thread: Advice for crafting my rifle
You may want to experiment some by just making non enhanced ALR's to start. To cap damage with 184 cells your base ALR will need to be 999 max damage. I use pre-curb stocks for weapons with cells, the are -20 SAC and 0.0 speed, easy to cap SAC on combine with no speed penalty from the stocks. What you are aiming for in your base ALR is 999 max damage and 90 SAC with all other points in speed. I would also use looted scopes if you have them, they have nice speed mods, better then what can be crafted by a long shot.
1)Scope - Looted if possible, should not be too hard to find if you dont have some.
2)Stock - Pre-curb if you have them, if not I would probably max out SAC then rest in speed.
3)Barrel and Handler - These are where you will want to play around. You will want to adjust the numbers on these so your final combine on a non enhanced ALR will give you minimum 999 max damage and 90 SAC. The rest into speed.

Sadly too high sac, used 181ish power cells and 28/29ish stocks to reach this. But imho not bad for first exp, but will try with precu stocks too
im convinced that there is no way to double cap an advanced laser rifle without slicing damage to some extent (at least with the resources available on valcyn) ..... best i have been able to do with 82 SAC has been 1178 with 2.5ish speed (pre slice)

using the resources we have on valcyn the advanced laser rifle assembles at 28%..... if you max out the damage on it it is 987 maxand that is 97%. my best guess is that 1000 damage on an ALR without enhancements would need to be a 30% assembly and taking the damage line to 100%which would mean that you would need OQ/CD capped link steel aluminum and non ferrous metal. so i think it is possible to do it but not with the resources currently available on valcyn......

I just made this on Farstar and yeah I was quite annoyed as you can probably guess ![]()
It really wont makea difference when fighting with it compared to a capped one, but my professional pride ust wont let it rest ![]()

Nice rifle. But like you, Im all about that last point of damage. lol

I experience the same results with Rifles, but can easily hit sac/dmg caps with carbines.
