Thread: Bandoleers with storage...erm...

In JTL beta I noticed that neutral pilots were getting bandoleers with 50 item storage...this is one of the things that we had a little fit asking about when the WS toolkits came out, so (hope I'm not following someone else on this) I'll just start this right back up...

Would it be at all possible for some of that code to rub off on the toolkits and create a magical toolkit that we wouldn't need a second house to drop our backpack in to equip? One that we could put our resources and tools in so when our city drops research center it's easier to grab all the stuff we need and shuttle to the shop of a smith that lives in another research center.

Is this too much to ask for? Would it further damage the GCW or combat in general? Would it cause 5 second lag for a week or vendors to spontaneously combust with krayt weapons still in them? Why is it so unthinkable that one of the programmers take an extra 5 minutes away from the water cooler to cut and paste some code? I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one to do a happy dance if it happened....

I too was so looking forward to this after being in the JTL beta. It is such a major pain to dump out my top level inventory, unequip my pack, drop it, and then equip the WS toolkit. So much so that I hardly if ever use it.

Hey, since I made a Star Wars Quake III mod 5 years ago, does that make me an SOE dev??

It's *such* a pain in the ass to switch them, that I've never bothered buying one........

If the Toolkit was a Container, I'd buy one.

If it's not, I won't. It's pointless if it's not. And the fact that there are container-bandoleers is simply a kick in the teeth.

We tailors talk about Bandoleers having storage in all the time the stuff in beta JTLS brought it back again recently.

Beta nothing, I got one of those bandoleers last night on Starsider. I was a little bitter-sweet to me, I would much rather wear a bandoleer than the backpack... but we've been asking for that in the toolkit for months. Some times I wonder if the Devs intentionally don't do what we are asking for out of some cruel twisted principle.

Me too.

And yes, I do believe they do things like this as a sort of cloaked stab...could you imagine how the smugglers felt when the devs finally added smuggling content with JTL and it's open to anyone as a freelance pilot mission? That one was so blatant that I walked funny for a couple hours after I read it...

Indeed this would be a nice add to save on room.
