Thread: Alternate Suggestions for Entertainer Buffs (Instead of Resource Quality Buffs)

Ok sorry if you read this already in the other thread, but i though it shouldhave a thread of its own and perhaps some correspondent or red name types might even consider it (ok i wont hold my breath).


Instead of Resource quality buffs, let the entertainers give buffs that enhance survey abilities.


1-3 hours of better resource concentrations (maybe 5% higher concentration) I'm not sure if this is possible with the game mechanics.


Or make it easier to place a harvester on rough terrain. or something like that if it has to be tied to resources


Another suggestion would be increased survey range 20-40 meters higher range..


These ideaswouldn't be game breaking for anyone and i think they would be extremely helpful to most crafters.


Suggestions/comments/ideas?

Actually a buff that I think most crafters would relish would be a Buff that decreased the time it takes factories to manufacture items. Two days for an entire run of BEtissuesis a little stupid.

Yes the factory speed buff is a good suggestion also.


I changed the title of this thread so that we can get more ideas and not just focus on mine. Hopefully someone will listen before they push the changes live.

Alot of the Idea's for alternative buffs have been welcome, IMHO. He!!, i'd be all for giving the entertainers all of the proposed buffs if we could get rid of the resource buff alltogether. From an computer-ignorant perspective, though, some of the proposed buffs seem easier to code than others.


Give them more content, get rid of the troublemaker, everyone is happier.

Since I had to give up a lot of Artisan to get combat level, I wouldbuy a surveying buff that just increased my surveying range (but more than 30 meters!).Maybe 1 - 3 hours. And I'dbuy the buff just about every day I played the game. I know food works for surveying, clothing doesn't, but it seems the food buff wears off fast now. And it's hard to find.


But didn't I read something about a modification of some buff or other last night? Or am I confused in some strange deleted way?


Concerning factories - I'm a very narrow shipwright ( and still MWS), but I don't believe shipwrights care a lot about factory run times. I know I don't.

Ya a reduction in complexity so that it doesnt take so long in the factory would be nice.

I agree with the poster above that said that the Devs should give the entertainers all the buffs suggested in lieu of the resource quality buffs.

Please keep the suggestions coming.


Mordan please submit these ideas to the devs. I dont think that the WS community feels that even a 2% resource quality buff is good for the profession. Please do your best to prevent it from happening.

a buff on factory times? DUMB.....absolutely stupid idea...i agree factory times are too slow...but dear god...do we have to have a BUFF specifically for this?...its a waste of game resources

ok here's another idea it's not specific to crafting professions but I think there would be a high demand.


How about a buff that temporarily increases the players ability to loot items or loot better items. Like the FS Luck tree is supposed to do.
