Am I the only one getting a bad component error when trying to use reinforced casings and power cells?

I've been away for a few weeks so haven't been able to read the boards, and searching turns up nothing, so I'm confused

The components are unstacked. It happens to every component in the stack. I've never died with them and besides they've been stored on vendor or in droid.

When I select the casing the slot highlights in green, but when I double-click (or drag) the component over I get a popup message saying it's a bad component that can't be used in that slot.

Is there any workaround? (for example, me not doing something stupid? hehe)

Err, these are loot enhancers for the feed mechs and the power handlers. They do not replace the feeds/handlers themselves...
