ok I"m finding I have a similar problem with the Vibro Lance that I've had with the Power hammer: near cap resources and still a rather low damage and high sac. I've got one made with a sac of 96 and damage is 870. I've seen soem on thebazaar that were about 880 damage and I think maybe 94 sac. granted my ditanium steel is about 13 points under the cap (but still very high quality) and I got great successes across the board on it.

What are you doing for experimentation on the vibro motors? I myself, on all components (unless specifically asked for a custom job) experiment SAC all the way down to -9, the last 2 or 3 points into speed. Doing this on the motors should allow you to only have to use 2 or 3 points in SAC on the weapon after assembly. Freeing up 9 or 10 points to put into damage.

I also go to a research center, experiment 3 points at a time on sub components, until I get at least one amazing. This allows to cap on line using only 9 experimentation points, leaving 3 for speed. If it's a custom weapon, I do the same thing, only add bespin port in the mix.

I went full out on sac got it down to -9. speed -1.00 with the last couple points after i maxed out the sac mod. I use this appraoch for all my components. I take a similar approach. with components I go a full 8 on sac (I keep trying this utnil I get an amazing succes) and then I take a shot of port for the last point on sac. anothe rshot of port and I pu tthe rest into speed.


on the final product I go 3 points at a time with a shot of port each time

and yes i"m in a research centre

You cant make good lances. No one can though. Even using 35 max motors highest I have hit so far was like 904max with 94 or so sac. Devs need to fix weapon component loot as it is really out of whack. Acklay bones are near useless unless max damage is around maybe 300. High power vibro motors need to have at least 60-100max damage to make em slightly useful. NS motors need to have action cost put back on them. Acklay bones need to have at least -10 action cost added to them. Even yellow cubes need to have some action cost on them. 50max cube = about a -10 red cube in terms of experimentation. How many 50max cubes exist though? Maybe one or 2 sets on all the server combined. I dont think the devs thought much about converting many loot components though, would take em too much thought.
