I am writing this to try and get an idea if others feel the wayI do or if I am alone on this one. I did a quick look at the amount of crafters on my server and I was awed by what I seen. There are no fewer than 92 WeaponSmiths advertising on one planet and the other starter planets are about the same. Don't get me wrong I am all foropen competition and this is not a rant. What I am asking; is this for the better of the economyor are we reaching saturation limits? What I see as a problem is the ease that a player can achieve master level and the amount of skill points left over afterwards. I think we could thin our numbers a bit if we could boost the amount of skill points necessary to gain the position. What we are dealing with now are people that are dabbling in the craft and are allowed to do so, just spending a day or two "grinding" through the skill boxes.

It should at least be as hard as the hybrid combat proffessions to accomplish a lofty title such as Master Tradesman. What my proposal would do is good for the serious crafters and good forour economies.

You forget what it takes to be competitive. Resources and more resources, certainly not the grinding variety aswell. I've been with the game since launch and have been mining since the first day I could make a personal harvestor. I can count the number of elite MWS on one hand. It takes drive and a commitment to the craft to actually stay with the profession. Don't expect the number of shops to fluctuate, but you will certainly see the names of the crafters change.
