Thread: What Time of the Day do the Resources Shift?

Is it at Midnight Pacific Time, When they Restart the servers, or someother time?
They use the same clock that the base timers used to be on. It's a 23 hour clock, so it accounts for 1 hour of sever down-time. Ideally, the servers are down for 1 hour every day, so the resources would shift at the same time. However, as we all know, the servers are rarely up after an hour, so the shift gets pushed back by that long. If the servers are an hour late, then the new resource time is an hour later than the previous day. Obviously this makes the resource shift time vary from server to server, and on days where there are long delays, such as patches, etc, then the shift can get delayed by sometimes 4, 5 or 6 hours.
Also, you should be mocked for being an ICP fan.

Ohhh, explains why my Lok wind shift keeps moving foward a day every few weeks(Yes I use wind, I run a small operation and am too cheap to use Radioactive)![]()
OK so their is no way to be efficient and plan to harvest resources right after a shift, well there is but you would have to know what hour they are ment to shift and how long the server was down but thats complicated.
Why should I be mocked? If I were PyscoJedi everyone would be kissing my arse and thats no less loserly a name![]()

I had a resource cycle out on my in the 10 min it took my non-combat WS to clear a lair that was in the way of placing my havesters. I had spent 30 min searching for the spot... I cleared the lair after about 10 min and dropped the first havester and when I went to set the resouce, it was gone.
yeah....yesterday on TC2 i was mining some mins manually and as im mining it it just unspawned. i was so happy ![]()
So it is fairly easy to predict WHEN something will happen. But you cannot predict WHAT will happen. When a resource appears it appears usually at the same time on all planets, but it can disappear at different times, although the disappearing also takes place at the predictable resource shift time.
So just a take a look at swgcraft when the last mayor batch of resources were added, add 24.5 hours to that time and you will have a good guess when the next shift will be.
Just note that wind and solar energy often shift outside that pattern.

Let me tell you from my experience that the resource shift takes place every 24 hours plus server downtime (real downtime, not counting "loading" status), so in most cases every 24.5 hours.

See I'm mainly trying to figure out if at a time in the day all the resources that are meant to shift that day shift at the same time and that the shifting time is the same everyday. This wayI can harvest at that time instead of having my harvestors harvest nothing because the resources shifted.
So basically if I find the shift time on my server I can predict when the shift is going to happen each day(Approximately). -I should have figured it's probably not going to be insink with other servers because our shifts are jumbeled for many reasons-
But thanks to everybody anyway for helping me figure out how shifting works, I guess I'm just gonna have to spend a dayoff trying to figure out when the shift happens on Starsider![]()
I looked it up for you and it seems the next shift there will take place in 3 hours after I post this message (just stating it relatively since I don't know your local time)

Well, you might use www.swgcraft.com and the recent resources page there to track down when the shift happens.

Thank you SWGcraft is the bee's knees really![]()
