Well I got my first +1 Weapon Experimentation skill tape and a weaponsmith toolkit. My question now is how do I use it so that I can increase my exp points. I know you add it to clothes, but I have heard stories of people wasting tapes because they were stacked wrong. So my question is how do you stack the tapes properly? I am planning on buying an outfit that I will wear for my crafting. I was thinking of boots, pants, under shirt, jacket, and gloves all with 4 sockets. Will this be enough to hold all the tapes I can use? How can you see what exp points you currently have to your credit with the tapes? These things cost a pretty penny, so I don't want to screw it up.Any help on how to use this tape and apply ohters in the future will be appreciated.

You can only add 1 tape of a type to each piece of clothing...they do not stack...so by adding your +1 to your shirt, you cannot then add another +1 to that shirt, you have to put it in the pants or something. You can add other modifiers, just not another weapon experimentation. In order to get another experimentation point you need +10 total...you can get 2 more experimentation points with +20 and +25 is the max bonus you can get so mainly +20 is what you are striving for.

Take a look at Padre's guide for SEAs:

I snipped this part so you look out for it. It will make sense once you read the rest of the guide.

UPDATE: apparently the +1 trick no longer works, I haven't been able to test that though. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Ok so that means I have +3 on the toolkit and +1 on the tape for a total of +4. If I get 6 more and my total weapon exp I'm wearing is equal to +10 then I get 11 exp points when experimenting on a weapon? And I would have to be wearing a total of +20 worh of tapes to get 12 experimentation points when experimenting on a weapon? Does it matter to get +25, as I thought you capped out at 12 experimentation points? Last queston. If I have a +1 tape on a shirt and I get a +5, can I place it on the shirt and over ride that last tape?

Thanks for your help.

The toolkit is plus 3 and your tape is +1.

Together you have +4 or 0.4 extra experimentation points.

You will need some higher tapes, as you'll quickly be running out of clothes to put them in. You have basically these slots for clothing: Head, Jacket, Shirt, Legs, Feet, Hands, Backpack. Since the developers were smoking crack when they made the WS toolkit, it uses the backpack slot. So good luck un-equipping your pack, because i know you don't have enough slots left in your house to drop it.

Thanks to all who have replied. I really appreciate your help. I also printed Padre's write up...reminds me or Calc class hehe. One question though, isn't the sockets in the backpacks still bugged? I thought you could't use a tape in a pack yet.

Oh yea.. Doesnt matter anyway, as you wont be able to use that slot as the toolkit occupies it.
