Thread: Are those 2 extra experimentation points very handy for making a Scythe?

I'm wondering if having 12 experimentation points is that big a deal in making a Scythe Blade. I have the schematic for it, the schematic for the sword core, the paste, and power cubes. I want to hirea WS to make me this item (2 actually), but at a fair price. I'm wondering if I need to make sure the WS has those 12 points, or will 10 do?

For something that rare, why wouldn't you want it? Might as well shop around till you find a 12 WS. Once he maxes on damage he should have AT LEAST 3 points left and that will go a long way in either durability or range. Iv eheard the durability sux on scythes.

Durability on Scythes is acutally pretty decent.

Durability on the Genosian Rifles and pistols is somewhat questionable though (I would like to always use green cubes for these).

Having a WS with 12 EXP points do the job will probably result in about 1100 durability instead of around 1000. (these numbers are not exact). but each extra point can add about 50 durability.

Not that big of a deal if you ask me.

Where the extra exp points help is if the WS has any *moderate sucesses* while crafting the scythe. The extra 2 points can help him compensate for any difficulties and get the scythe up to max damage reguardless. Honestly, if drinking bespin port and located in a research center, if you take your time, this isn't "usually" a problem.

The Scythe blade is quite durable from what i have seen of my 2. I got all the loot and the schmatic for them and had my down smith make me one. I got base damage on it with LOW grade loot from the geo cave (white power cubes) and so so cores and damage was 320max 2.4 speed and hes not maxxed on the experimentaion points but I just got 6 yellow cubes and very nice cores and paste from looting for him to make me another. He thinks it will be over 350+ atleast and he just got more experimentation points. With a Goods slice the damage will jump allot

What I do with the scythes I make is dump my extra points into range on the crafted Geonosian cores, and then perhaps another point or two in the finished weapon. They typically end up with +11 or +12 to hit at all ranges, which is a HUGE improvement over your average power hammer. =)
