Thread: How do stocks and scopes affect guns (for good or bad)?

I use Zero HAM scopes in all my weapons. They increase wound% and Range slightly

Advanced Scopes I use on request, they greatly increase Ideal Range and Wound% with also adding approx 25-28HAM

A buffed fighter wont care about HAM costs at all.

An Advanced Stock adds 40/40 Damage, but makes the weapon .3slower and also adds 25 HAM to the standard weapon. A master ranged fighter doesnt care about speed, they want damage, and again buffed, a little HAM more will not hurt them at all.

I can spam knockdown with a Laser Carbine with a Stock on it fully buffed and I'm still regaining Action faster than I'm draining it.

Cool thanks. I'm shooting for WS, but doing smuggler also, so it's taking a while. I have some gemstone thats pretty decent and was wondering if I should keep it for future scopes or sell it. If basic scopes add no HAM, I guess I'll hold onto it.

you ahve to experiment in the HAM line until you get to zero.

I normally experiment down to 1 or 2 because I then put the extra experiment points I have into ideal range.

I do the same thing, since even if it says 0 to HAM it still adds 1 right? So I prefer using the extra points on range.

I dont bother experimenting on HAM at all. Everyone plays buffed so whats the point. All my weapons with scopes/stocks are experimented for max damage and speed. Scopes are max wound and hit mods.

Weapons I never experiment in HAM it isnt worth it.
and not everyone plays buffed.

If a person tells me HAM doesnt mean anything I make them all new components with no experimentation in HAM, but for those who dont have the convienence to a buff, then the high Hams hurt.

Same reason I still make unstocked T21's. 105 HAM kills any unbuffed rifleman.
