I'm am going to do master weaponsmith but I am wondering if I should do master artisan or not cause I'd like to keep some combat stuff and if I get it, I'd have to drop alot.
I know you get most of the artisan related increasements in the first two lines(experimentation and assembly) and I want to make good power-ups and such, so should I have both lines?
Any help would be appreciated.

It helps a little, the only weapons requiring Master Artisan Components is Tangle/SG82/Stun Baton and maybe a few more that I forgot. But If you are going to be 4440 anyways you should get master. Its mostly a choice of preference and if you have someone that can make u the components for some of the weapons.

Wouldn't master it unless you have extra points because theweapons that use the stuff aren't really all that popular and you could always get someone else to make them for you.

WUK's are based off Artisan exp points. Stun weapons usually require Master Artisan components (very popular in PvP). Power-ups are based off Artisan exp points, and trust me, if you plan an carrying them then you had better get
your exp and assembly points maxed for artisan. I am very happy I decided to master it.

i personally Mastered artisan because my guild didn't have one, because he when on the holo grind.
i found that Master Artisan was my real source of income, i've just master weaponsmith today so i don't know if that is going to change now, but durring the time i was working my was through the weaponsmith profession i earned money from making vehicles and vehicle customization kits, i didn't make a fortune, but i made enough so i could buy extra steel as a reserve for those days when my harvester couldn't keep up, due to lack of maintaince, power or a shift in the resource spawn.
i recommend that you take it, its a good back up to have, also you will have more skills to teach to get those hard to find apprenticeship points.
