When I craft powerhandlers and other components, can I get the SAC on them below 0?
Sorry if it has been asken before, but search has been down for an hour now

Yes you can
in fact I think that is the most common way of making sub components.
Max out the SAC line that should give you components with -8 or -9 sac then put the rest (3 or 4 points) into speed or damge ![]()

Thanks a bunch. I'm only 0203 so far, so I don't have that many experimentation points yet. And even if I post all of them into sac, it stops at 0. But I guess I'll just have to do a little more macroing and clicking

Also worth noting that you basic sub components won't hit -8, -9 SAC - they will probably hit around -3, -4 or so even with 12 points and really good resources.
You advanced sub components should be hitting -8, -9 thoughwith around 9 points of experimentation on SAC.

Thanks Ecnirp...
That reminds me, can advanced components substitude the standard ones? Can I use advanced power handler in a scout blaster, for example?

I would really suggest taking the time to grind out to master before you start your business, you'll feel much better about your weapons if you are a master weaponsmith.
unless you're making weapons for your own characters as you go along.

I agree. You'll tear through a lot more quality resources learning WS as Master WS as if you would going through the ranks. You shouldnt be learning WS and trying to build a good ALR at the same time.

This was something you could do before the CU.
When i was bored i used to spend my time crafting krayt enhanced D18's and scout blasters, technically i can still do it but it just does not seem as much fun as it used to be.
But yes you really need to grind out your weaponsmith tree beforehand. The experimentation points alone are worth it.

I have no plans about making a succesfull business untill i reach master. I just around a little every time I get a new box. You know, when a man gets a new toy etc. Plus, if I grind out the whole proffesion without testing new schematics a long the way, I'll just get confused once I reach master and start crafting. And if I want to craft something of a little higher quality I'll do some artisan stuff
