Hey folks I know this isnt the best place for this post but I cant get a definitive answer elsewhere. I figured I would come to the source and see if you all can provide me with some input.

I have two yellow type Exceptional Rifle Stocks with the followwing stats.

min dmg 27

max dmg 44

spd .173

wound 11

Ideal Range Mod 22

Apparently there is no ham cost associated with these stocks.

My question for you all is are these stocks truly exceptional?

Most WS can get their Advanced Weapon Stocks to 40 min, 40 max damage with about .3 speed and around 29/29/29 HAM (give or take a few points). So, those are pretty good stocks, though I would expect 'exceptional' stocks to have higher damage. They would be worth using.

I guess the real value here is the lack of ham cost if I understand you correctly.

yeah if i was u id cash in on the exceptional name, then find yourself some form fitted stocks for your own weapons

Yes, that would be their main value. Imperial form-fitting stocks also have zero ham costs, but they only add +25 min and +30 max damage (though they also reduce speed by .5). So your stocks are even better than form-fitting stocks, pretty much.

The reason for these stats on the stocks is because these are normal(exceptional) stocks not advanced(exceptional) stocks. Your comparing these stocks to what crafters can make on Advanced stocks and that's not an accurate comparison. A normal stock will have much lower stats on it than the exceptional ones you have looted. The ones you looted are slightly better than what a weaponsmith can craft in an advanced stock. If speed it not an issue for the crafted item then these would be a good choice as they have no additional ham costs. However if speed is an issue then you would probably want to use the Form Fitted Stocks which have slightly lower damage but a -.5 speed mod on them where yours has a +.1xx

They are a nice find but don't have any huge benefits over what is currently available.

I agree, you could sell them more for the exceptional tag then for actual use in a weapon.
