I have a second account that is going to be a weaponsmith. Over the weekend I bought all the resources I needed to grind weaponsmith and set out to do it.

First 3 hours: While surveying and sampling, grinded metal staves without a macro up to munitions 1. Started munitions 1, went to look for macro.

Next few hours: Figured out how to use macro, noticed to grind warheads I needed my own crafting station. Found and bought crafting station. Started macro grinding. Made good progress. Had to interrupt progress 6 times to tell people I did not sell this item or that item. In the space of 1 hour, was asked to make VK, grenades, this or that, and had people wanting to know if I wantd to buy this or that schematic or component. Took down novice weaponsmith tag.

Finally grinded through 4-0-4-4 by bed time last night. Realized I misbought and had to go shopping for more steel and gas.

Look to master weaponsmith tonight. This forum, and swgcraft have been awesome. I used the search function so many times yesterday it wasn't even funny. I look forward to putting that master tag up tonight.

Thanks for all the constructive post and information.

Hehe, things change.

I remember spending 80% of the grinding days running low-payout missions to keep the personal mineral extractos running so I could have an hour or two manually grindning my way up.

Tok me ages to master

never dealt with those days but I do remeber scavenging around for that covetted thoranium steel. Had only enough to get me to 3/4/2/4 in WS then luckly happend upon another WS that I bought some from about 35k or so for about 60k creds.

The grind has taken me a while so far. Luckily I have some hydron-3 and skevon gas as well as the other stuff to grind heavy warheads. I should be a master by the end of the weekend.

Took me about 3 hours yesterday to find some skevon and hydron3 to finish the last branch of wep smith. My alt was created last Tues and as of last night was master artisan and master wep smith...only cost me 3.5 mil in grind materials and 13 ber heavy harvesters .

Personal grind notes:

Barrels suck!!

Grind Metal Staves first...more xp then barrels...until you can train munitions 1

Grind Medium Warheads afteruntil munitions2

Grind heavy warheads unless you can't find/afford named resources for heavy warheads (if this is case stick with either staves, medium warheads, or do barrels)...at 735 xp per combine the boxes go down quick...

Skevon and Hydron 3 are hard as hell to find (At least on Bria)

will need personal craft station for your home for medium and heavy warheads...this also took awhile to find...

use 7 craft tools for heavy warhead combines...with 10 secs to click resources on macro...this way you can craft continously

Hope that helps someone
