just in my opinion resellingisnt that bad of a thaing i mean thaink about it the people arnt stealing from you they pay the price you set so in the buy agrement all acounts are settled then like finding a "rare" of a mob they sell it for a higher price if they sell it good for them if not your not loosing anything. just my humble opinion if people are buying and reselling too much of your stuff dont ban them from your shop's just up the price a lil bit. thx and any other opinions on the matter would be good.

You loose the business of whoever the reseller sells to.
You lose word of mouth, unless the reseller gives the wp to your shop stating that the same weapon can be bought there for less.
You lose alot of time and resources while the reseller only looses a very small amount of time.
You loose skillpoints to be a master crafter while the reseller can happily be anything he wants.
Im sure ive missed something, but you get the point, unless its consented reselling its best to just find some other way to make money.

For me it's the professional reputation. I spent a lot of time and money to become a 12 point Master Weaponsmith, not to be a supplier for someone who can't slice weapons decently and then sell them on the bazaar. When people look at the item, they see my name and pay little attention to who the seller is and it makes no mention of who the idiot was who failed at slicing the item. People then associate weapons with crappy stats with my business and decide not to shop there. That is what I'm trying to prevent and that is exactly why I'm against re-selling my weapons without my express permission.

Before we start blaming the smugglers for "bad slices" or calling us "idiots", just remember: we can make you more money with good slices to more than make up for your loss on bad ones. Unlike you venerable Weaponsmiths, we smugglers don't get a choice on how good our slices are. At least the quality of the resources you (the WS) buy affects your product. It's random for us.

I don't mind resellers, a sale is a sale regardless of who is buying. It would be nice if someone gave ya a heads up 1st though. Been several times when I've sold the vendor dry to one person, when if he'd sent me an e-mail I could have sold him a crate instead. I had a guy this one time clean out my Melee weapons vendor of around 250-260 items. I could have saved him several tripps back a forth and my self alot of clicking if he'd just bought 10 crates. But anyways a sale is a sale. As long as I get the credits I don't care if you buy 1 or 100.

If you are a decent weaponsmith most people should know about your shop.
The person that buys it will see the name of who made it and probably send you a email/tell.
How? You made the money from the sale.

Again, the problem is perception, i plaster my name in the title of my weapons, and its listed in the creator field......i had a reseller buying me out and reselling at ridiculous prices fairly close to me......people automatically thought it was my shop, and started saying i was way overpriced......this is the risk of allowing resellers...

I'd rather deal strictly with resellers, shrug. It's an opinion thing.

as long as the smuggler is using clamps, there is no such thing as a failed slice
the minimum a master can do is 14% but thats still 14% better than the damage or speed was before the slice
so to argue that they are passing on failed sliced weapons makes no sense...you must really be arguing that the prices don't reflect what the slicing accomplished or didn't accomplish
if the concern is a reseller is a smuggler overcharging as though it was a 35% slice, just put the crafted stats in the title so the customer can tell how it turned out, regardless of who is the owner of the vendor.

The "failed" slice means it was of no use and since weapons cant be slcied more than once they need it to matter- for instance a speed slice on a rifle would be useless, master riflemen +5 speed (that can come from master marksman) is speed capped. Once a rifle gets a bad slice, it goes down in value because people know its not getting any better.

I'm not blaming the Smuggler on the slice, I know it's roll based much like crafting is, but when someone sells something which is quite obviously a failed slice, and it has your name on it as the item's creator, people look at you. An idiot is someone who will try to pass off a failed slice as a decent weapon.

I have to ask you guys this. In RL do distributors make the products they sell? NO....they buy from the manufacturers for wholesale and sell the the community at retail. This is how it was supposed to be but everyone decided to make and sell their own wares which is ok and many small shops do this too.
It would be better if the resellers would contact the crafter and place an order instead of cleaning out the crafter's vendor, that way the crafter can plan ahead and put aside sometime for the order. But in a game like this you are always going to have inconsiderate, immature people.

I personally slice 95% of all of my product. People pay more for the good slices and less for the bad slices. I make more $ i the long run. If someone wants to buy out my whole vendor, great, cause I posted the weapons at what I wanted to sell them for.
