Thread: Can someone confirm this for me?
I've been browsing a lot of the topics and all I see is conflict after conflict. I just want to know if holocrons are dropped only by FS NPCs. Has anyone confirmed finding one on a different NPC?
And if it's true about them only being on FS NPCs, what the hell are those of us who can't even beat an overkreetle without almost dying supposed to do? I sure hope you can get them from other NPCs, because if this is true I think we can all confirm that us artisans are truly being disregarded in the FS sense.
Sure, I know that you don't need a holocron to become a Jedi, but the advantage that those that do have good combat skills have over us when it comes to getting a FSCS would be so massive that this shouldn't even be a **edit** argument.
Well. we have to start grouping and pharming the mobs then... that's the answer.

I have 2 theories in this regard:
1. They want to make it perfectly clear that most of us will have to change professions in order to get the fs slot, whether that's before we get the holocron or after, doesn't seem to matter.
OR
2. Artisans may be able to get it as a random result of crafting, samplingor something.
LOL
I love your second theory.

DPS
The calculation that gives us this stat on our weapons includes minimum damage as a part of it?
Non of the calculations on our specials use minimum damage, but instead solely use maximum damage?
Just need to know so I can tell customer whats up with weaponry these days.
cheers
PS I'd just like those two questions answered not told to use the search function that has just failed to go beyond next page loading all morning. I need a simple yes or no after each, not a thesis I have no hope of understanding while doing my accounts.
again cheers
So many things have changed its hard to keep up.
a) bas dps = ((min damage + max damage)+elemental damage)/2*speed
(if i remember correctzly, but yes, min damage is used in the formula)
b)Only max damage seems to be used in calulating special, BUT minimum damage seem to be used in calculating powerup bonus. A+25% damage powerup will take 25% of your MINIMUM damage and add it

This is correct....which is why the DPS listed on every single weapon in the game is incorrect. Not to mention the fact that the DPS does not take into account the diminishing returns from lower speed.
