Are these used in weapons? If so, what do they do?

THey are used in WS quest in the myydril caves. Then later used in manufacturing the weapons from the schema (which permanent) that you get.

they are very valueable to WS who arestill doin' that Kash quest... I'm thru mine but if ya have the crystals I'll buy 'em to see how good a knife I can make with 'em.. my WS toon is on Shadowfire as well.. I need 3 crystals per weapon. email me in game!

more crystals to WS.. they are hard to get and considered a rare drop! we need 15 to just complete the quest!!1

What schem do we get, I dont have ROTW on my WS, is this schem worth it?

It is just the schema for the Nak'tra Crystal knife. it has a damage range around 350-700. It isnt too bad of a little fencer weapon.

I may be mistaken although I think the knife is a lvl 40 cert.

It's not to bad once you actually complete the quest.

As for a rare drop...just go down there in a group and do the missions associated with teh caverns and you'll get tons of them.

There's several other quest that involve killing the creatures that drop the crystals. I believe you can get three different robotic arms while gathering crystals...

just give me your crystals... I've got the rest and it's good

anyway, how's the WS quest requires freakin' group to kill 100s of cl77 and we are supposed to be crafters?

and then I cando that safe the great tree quest by myself in like 30m or less and get this awesome blade that's bettter than anythin' I can craft! that's a melee quest but anybody can do it easily.. see where I'm goin' with that?

doesn't matter. they could let us pick those crystals like ya do in other quests that are for combatants... ya don't have to kill spiders to complet the great tree quest.. just find the crystal and use it. see?

Is the schematic a loot item or is it placed directly in the datapad.

My toon is all crafting and wont live long so can i do it with another toon and transfer the schematic?

As much as I love our profession and would love some crafter related quest I do believe in interactions between professions. I dont ahve a problem with having to either buy the crystals or get guildies or others to help me do the quests. Builds relations. However I wish the devs would see this both ways and grant us the schematics for all the quest reward weapons, but here I go again beating a dead dog.
