So my main character is a Pikeman (as the sig says...) and i have ADK'd a very nice pre-cu looted Vibro Lance (just like about everyone it seems).

Well, tonight i decided to see what a WS could do with a Vibro Lance.

First Result: High Damage - 96% Experimented

As a Pikeman, they would both appeal to me, and the -20 accuracy really wouldn't hurt at all with the SAC pup. Although, i could probably put a 30% damage pup in there and end up with an easy 1k + max damage on the Balanced Version.

I'm in the same position, havea pikeman alt and have been trying to make a pike for him comparable to the good pre-CU ones. I just don't think it's going to happen though. Those are very nice pikes you've got there but obviously the first one is going to kill your action in a matter of 5 or 6 big specials and the second one is nice with the pup as long as you're not missing often due to the accuracy, but even then, a pre-CU one has more damage and speedand a base SAC of 94, which would bring it well below the SAC of your crafted one with the same pup applied.

Your best bet is probably trying to get some nice damage enhancing loot to put into the vibro units. It 'might' be possible to match the current pre-CU ones this way.. but it'll save you a lot of time to just search the bazaar daily for newly posted pre-CU VL's than try to get component enhancements just to end up crafting an inferior pike

It would be nice if SOE would offer an enhancement similar to krayt tissue and gorax shards for vibro units, then we'd be golden.

Personally I prefer getting the SAC cost lower when crafting and then relying on damage power-ups if needed.
