Did they make slicing so F-ing complicated because of us WS's complaining that some hybrid combat/crafer (Smugglers) could make our weapons better than we could? I never liked the fact that a smuggler could turn my weapons into something that I couldn't on my own, but now that we all got used to the old slicing system, they went and made it a crazy loot gathering thing? This is just weird.

it is totally cool that a smuggler could slice a gun,, so it works fine..

most would say, WHY are their swords in SWG to begin with. There should only be TK if you ask me.

You know what's even cooler than cutting wires on a sword to improve it's speed or damage?Cutting the red or blue wire on a stone knife.

I don't know that the new slicing system is y'all's fault. I haven't heard anyone make that accusation. Mostly we blame the developers. Apparently there was a fun and logical slicing system up and running on test before, but they switched to the loot-based system kind of at the last minute... for reasons unknown. We're all still kind of wondering 'WHY, God, WHY!?!?!?!?!' and trying to figure out all the mechanics of the new system... and of course where the heck to loot the tools we need. Mostly we blame jedi for everything illogical that happens to the smuggler profession.

I had never seen anyone complaining about slicing.

Besides, with the game designers dumbing down the game so that any attention deficit disorder moron could play it, I think that we were lucky to see slicing becoming more complex.

Some WS's complained. I personally think it's silly that a smuggler can somehow "slice" a sword and make it faster? But beyond the silliness, I didn't mind. I basically am just wondering why they made the new slicing system so colmplex? I like the idea of multiple, controllable slices, and perhaps throw some loot in to the mix is fine too...but to make it a 100% loot system, does seem like an odd decision to me.

Its definately not our fault. Even if some WS complained, when was the last time any dev listened to what we wanted?

Seriously I havent seen a dev in here since we got a new corospondent and even that wasnt really linked to the issues with our profession.
