I have heard, and realized first hand that dps is not necessarily the most important feature when looking at a weapon. I know most people talk about max damage, which is natural to me. However I was wondering if it was meerly max damage, or if the speed becomes irrelivent after a certain number. Also does min damage still affect anything, since it does not seem to be a ramdom amount of damage you do? Any other info about what to look at when buying a weapon would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much all, keep up the good work.

Everything is important, but what we have seen mainly max dmg and SAC are the easist to see effects. Min damage determines what your powerup will hit for, and also does affect what you hit for "per it". Speed isn't as important which affects DPS quite a bit. Your profession has speed mods, not damage mods, so slower weapon with higher max dmg will in the end be better than a faster weapon with lower dmg.
SAC is important because if you cannot fire your weapon, you get 0 DPS. You have to determine how much SAC you can handle, it is very hard for a WS to do that.
