I was wondering. im master WS, and i realy love making my own weponds. BUT am i worthless without 12 pt. im trying to loot and search auctions for ex ca`s. But they are expensive. will somebody buy weponds that is not 12 point? is there a big gap between 10pt and 12pt weps?

10 points is not worthless, you can find a niche marked or sell your weaponry cheaper than the 12 pointers, but 12 points is a lot better than 10 as you can get lower SAC or higher DPS than possible with only 10 points.

As I said you might want to focus on a niche marked (low CL weapons or such) to build up your fortune so you can afford the 12 points. (the toolset = 3 points should be quite inexspensive and the price of weaponsmith tapes (at least on my server) has fallen drastically so you should be able to build a set rahter quickly provided you have a little capital )

it's not worthless.. but you will prolly make more money in a newbie city, like on our server near eisley. It's all about how well you provide the service. If your availible, and always stocked.. people won't care. Most don't even KNOW what a 12pt ws is dude!

2 exp points less is a serious handicap - especially because it's not only the final combine, it's also the components

however, there are ways to mitigate this:

- this comes without saying, get the very best resources ever spawned on your server for the few weapons that are really in demand (small amounts as you want to concentrate on custom weapons, that brings the best money anyway)

- for your own weapons, try to get the best krayt tissues you can find (pay attention to speed! - you're going to experiment very little on speed)and pre-CU stocks

- get the force experimentation tree (phase 3, grindheavy warheads, get the named resources now!)- you will never get anything below great successes and about 30% will be amazing successes... that is equivalent with +1 exp point, besides you can guarantee your customers that there will be no risk of destroying their tissues, that brings a price bonus for custom weapons)

- when experimenting subcomponents go for SAC first, put all the remaining in speed; for the final combine experiment for damage, put all the rest in SAC (if you use good krayt tissues you'll cap damage); then slice for speed

- use PuP which increase damage (and decrease speed)

- get at least +1 exp points, that should be cheaper if you combine the ws toolkit (as inconvenient as it is) with a few cheap tapes (+1 and +2)

there is another option but that won't bring you much money because you will target a market segment which is poor: craft below lvl 54 weapons for the new players who need to grind their way up

sell them cheap on the bazaar, you may be able to create a nice customer base this way

finally... join an established guild and try to work with the existing ws... he is probably fabulously rich and looking to retire, you may be able to persuade him to let you use his crafting clothes and slowly transfer some orders to you
