I always hear people talk about a 12pt weaponsmith. What determines if a person is a 12pt or 10pt and how do you know?

you are by default at master a 10pt, meaning you have 10 experimentation points to use when crafting a weapon.

There are Clothing Attachments (normally refered to as CA's) which will give you up to 2 more points to experiment with.

You need +10pts in attachments to get +1 pt, so this means you need +20pts in tapes, to get +2, or rather +12.

If you followed that your doing good

So now, if you're like me and refuse to wear a hat, this means you can in total have 5 skill tapes (5 peices of clothing = Shirt, Pants, Jacket, Boots, Gloves).

For my WS, I have a +9, +4, +3, +3, +1 (I paid 5mil for the +9, and 2.5mil for the +3, got the +4 free from a very nice person, and bought the rest).

Do not ever put more then 1 CA of the same Mod, in the same clothing item. (Don't put two weapon experimentation tapes in one item of clothing, it will ignore one of them).

The skill tapes you want will be "Weapon Experimentation".

If you find a weappn experiemntation tape and it has 3 mods on it (WE +5, Enhanced Ranged healing +12, Melee Defense +3) you will want to make sure the item of clothing you put it in has 3 SOCKETS, so that all of the mods stick to the shirt. Each mod takes one socket up.

Hope that all helps!!

oh so to further that point i was trying to make, don't buy a bunch of tapes with +1 or +2, it won't get you very far! But if your broke you could get a bunch and just try to be a +11 WS (+10 in tapes = 1 extra point).

Also bandoleers suck cause it means you have to remove your backpack to wear it.

Those are the two things to avoid!

If you have loads of the resources needed for heavy warheads you're in luck... grind the force experimentation tree (village phase 3), that will give you about 30% amazing successes and will guarantee you won't get below great successes; that is equivalent with +1 exp point

of course, i assume that the force is with you... if not, what are you waiting for?!

despite what someone else said above, what you really lack is money... sacrifice convenience for now and get the ws bandolier (it sucks because you can't wear your backpack) and some cheap (+1 and +2) tapes... find the right combination to get 11 exp points (+1)
