Thread: Bring Back [Exceptional] Weapons................

Ok ive come up with an idea to do this which would be good for the 'Looters' And the WS


(first off this would only work with the removal of the Damage Caps so this is post is already 99.% pointless)


Here Goes;

When an [Exceptional] Weapon has been looted It is looted with full but random condtion, so xxx/xxx .there are ceratin things that can and cant be done with it.


They are;


1-It Cant Be ADK'd

2-It Can be sliced

3-It Can be puped

4-It Can be Disassembled By a MWS


-4--> the disassembly process converts the weapon into seperate components like ABPHs, Stocks, Barrels Etc. These can then be used to craft weapons with (no two Components from any looted weapon can be used in the same crafted weapon)


So what are the components like;


1-The stats on disassembled Components are Random (irrelevent of the weapon stats), rather like Krayt Tissues. However.

2-There is a Varible that chnages the Stat pools it choses from-the weapon condition, this would stop someone using then selling it on to a WS for large amounts of money.


How it works;


Example; ABPH


Gained from Disassemble of weapon with full condton eg 750/750

Min damage range of 40-140 Max Damage range 0f 100-420 speed range of -1.8 to -3 Sac range of -6 to -26

There are different stat pools for every 10% in the ORIGINAL Condition of the looted weapon. So;

Gained from Disassmeble of same weapon but at 10% condition 75/750 Min 40-60 Max:100-130 speed: -1.8 to -2.2 Sac: -6 to -10

And then varying pools at every other 10% range in condition. there is always a chance of the min stats but only full condition can get max. this would ensure it was rare to get a high powered ABPH.


Stats for other components would work in the same way.


A weapon crafted with these components would be able to be ADK'd


I think the weapons shouldnt (yes shouldnt) be as rare as pre CU, look how easy krayt tissues are to get now and that hasnt spoilt the game- just means more people are able to get hold of these weapons rather than the odd lucky person- this would make the weapons value more affordable and not left a class above the rest.


Everyone i know with an Eltie Prof. has an enhanced weapon, i just think that this would step it up another notch!


What do you WS think?


And remember im a WS so i dont want to be cast into the shadows of loot weapons


This could work if it was done properly and well though through.

Bah I made a long long post to answer this and the Board ate it

I will recap here shortly

Dont think it would be good to reintroduce the exceptional weapons even without the ADK they are unbalancing.


I would however like a reverse ingeneering system kidna like that of the Shipwrieghts. COuld work like this. Whenever a player looted a weapon this weapon had a rank on it. When reverse engineering for components the stats on the outcome would depend on the Weapon rank. so a rank one weapon would only ahve a slight chance of producing something as good as crafted. Rank 5 would have a vey good chance of producing something that could compete with crafted components and a slight chance of producing something amazing (some kind of exceptional components) Rank 8 (if that was the highest) Should have a prettty good chance of giving some exceptional components.


All this would of course require the caps removed and since they seem set in stone I guess we can just continue dreaming about how it once was

I wrote a more in depth post at first and couldnt post cos it took so long it logged me out lol, but i was getting more at the reverse engineering than the amazing loot weapons, i suggested that even though [Exceptional] they would only be 100 or so better than a well enhanced weapon (maybe lower sac or something else instead of just massive damage) as pre Cu ones were just a joke.


They definately need to introduce reverse engineering for us cos at least then (even with damage Caps) it would give us something more interesting to fiddle with rather than enhancing the same 5 weapons (T21, HLR, HCS, FWG5, E11) over and over and over ZZZzzzzzzzzz
