I recall in the past that there was a conflict between the experimentation percentages listed in the crafting tool, (66%/33%) and what they actually proved themselves to be (50%/50%) on certain schematic. While in my personal experience I only dealt with this problem when I was a chef, I am working on creating a guide to resources for my wife who is a weaponsmith and I want to make sure that this is not a problem for her.

For example, the schematic for the blaster-pistol barrel lists the percentages for all experimentation categories as being conductivity 66% and shock resistance 33%. Are those numbers accurate or are they 50% and 50% like proved to be the case for my old chef schematic.

I appreciate any help on this that you folks can provide.

They are accurate.. which means that if you have a low capped CD steel like Rhodium, you need something much closer to the cap as it has even higher wieght than the SR if you are making an Advanced Blaster Rifle Barrel.. There is a thread somehwere here with a conversion of the fooman's tool which takes into account the stat caps when calculating.
