How do you get the SAC cost of 82 on most weapons? I heard it was a loot component. If so, could someone tell me where they drop or how much they go for?

You can do it without loot components, just experiment your components to low sacand its very doable

It will however effect the speed on the weapon

On my components I usually do 8 points into lowering the SAC and then 4 into speed. Then on the build of the weapon I will do 8 points into damage and 4 into SAC. I find this makes good weapons with low SAC, sure I could cap out the DPS but I would feel like I would be hurting my customers.

Thanks for the help. I have always tended to spend 8 on damage and 4 on SAC to get the 25 - 50 damage. So I can see the advantage of a nice SAC though I do love damage. I also tend to leave my speed bonuses to slices and PuP's. Since I am also a smuggler. BTW was quite happy when I discovered the 20 left over crates of Weapon Upgrade Kits in one of my factories. though it kinda devalues the simpole and finely crafted toolkits

Also, if you use weaponstocks they will reduce the SAC. I think most experiment their stocks for maximum SAC reduction.

For my weapon stocks I'll trade +0.12ishspeed for -24 SAC any day of the week. I craft all other componets to -8 or -9 depending on resources. It takes 9 points in SAC and remaining three into speed. Final combine depends greatly on what I am making, but in general I max out damage with remainder into SAC.
