Research Center - 125k credits / week
Any experimentation done within a 'Research Center' is enhanced. A 15% bonus to the final result roll is added during the experimentation phase of crafting.
Anyone noticed a difference when crafting/experimenting weapons inside the city limits of a research center cityvs crafting outside of a research center?

Research Centers significantly improve amazing success rates. The general concensus is that your success rates are higher than without. However, Research Centers do not grant any additional experimentation points, they just improve your success rates.

Does anyone know: Do you need to be a resident, or simply crafting within city limits?

So the overall weapon quality will not change, you'll just have a better chance of making the best weapon you can make, with or without the research center specialization. Do I have it right?

Higher chances for amazing results means you can have leftover experimentation points after you max out the damage line to put into other area's, such as condition. You effectively have more experimentation points by one maybe two if you're lucky. Also lower chances of moderate sucesses so less schematics need to be thrown out due to substandard experimentation.

I am interested in this as well.
Has anyone actually notice the different in experimental success rate?

I have definitely noticed a big difference -I max out my stats on schematics in no more than 3-5 tries now where at times it took me as many as 10. I still get criticals at an annoying rate - even with assembly tapes - so I'm not sure if this is just chance or assembly isn't affected.

You don't have to be a resident of the city either. Many 'research' cities provide crafting stations in their city halls for visitors to use (I've used them a couple times myself
).

Do you also get a better chance for an amazing success if you have a higher weapon assembly skill or does that justhelp with preventingcritical failures?
Thanks for the answers so far. I'm still kinda new at weaponsmithing.
