Hiya All

Just made master weaponsmith and would like some guidance on the following items please.

What is required in terms of process and tools etc to make quality weapons equal to those produced by other WS on the server.

I understand the resources and am harvesting like mad but am not sure about the following.

How much does a higher rated private craft station affect quality

How much does higher quality tools affect quality

Is there anything else I should be doing to try to improve the quality of weapons I produce other than use the best resources available

Also I do not understand the experimentation threads I have read. People were saying one point at a time increases success?

I made my first gun and the screen came up to experiment. All I did was move the bars up to the max on damage and efficiency till my 10 points were gone and then built the gun. Is there any more to experimenting than that?

I would be extremely grateful to any advise you can give

btw it was a DH17 Short Carbine, 34-94, spd 5.1 which I was told is utterly useless

Good tools and stations make your experimentations and assemblys have a better chance of successes.

as far as experimentation, I dont know about 1 at a time, but damage is the most important. dont add points to other feilds until damage is maxed out.

Some special customers will request ham better than damage or seomthing, thats the only case, since 99% of the customer base only cares about damage and speed. You could have -25 across the board on range, and if the damage is high, they dont care.

I always experiment 3 at a time. In my experience, if you experiment 2 at a time, 1 at a time, or 4 at a time, you're extremely likely to have a critical fail when experimenting from around 80% (this happened almost 75% of the time). Experimenting 3 at a time seems to alleviate this problem, and I haven't had a critical fail in experimentation for as long as I can remember doing it this way. I think there may be some part of experimentation that we just don't understand yet... maybe doing it 3 at a time makes it so that it's under some certain "high risk" number when you experiment the final time, and you just pass it up or whatever.

Experimenting 3 at a time wastes about 1 point compared to doing it 2 at a time, and maybe 2 points compared to doing it 1 at a time. You'll usually end up with about 2 points left after maxxing out one of the stats.

I do apologise for being a noob here, but I have only been a master weaponsmith for a couple of days after the rifle barrel grind to master.

I have read the FAQ but I still have this question about experimentation

When u say 1, 2 or 3 points at a time do u mean put points in to damage say, so the bars move up and u expend experiment points, but only put in a few points.

Hit run the experiment and then do the same process 2-3 times until your points run out? If so I understand, dawn has broken etc

Other than this I am a harvester maniac, got 22 on the go through 2 accounts and friends at the mo.

I am also totally skint

Hopefully I can craft some decent weapons soon and start to earn a living

Many thanks for any advice

Experimentation philosophy is where the rubber meets the road. I've got 5 or 6 friends amongst the elite and formerly-elite WSs of Ahazi and I've heard five different philosophies. So, for clarity let me explain what we mean, and then I'll confuse you a bit.

When we quote a number of experimentation points we mean that we highlight that many boxes in the damage experimentation line (or whichever line we're referencing at the time) and then hit the experiment button. Generally this is better than doing it all at the same time, the question however becomes, 'How many do you use'.

For various reasons, I do it one box at a time. It takes longer to get a good schematic, but the results are good.

Best profit early is smuggler supplies. Take cruddy quality resources, and make WUKs and CDEF pistols and put them up in crates. Smuggler grinders will buy a lot of these so the profit margin on each may be slim, but the volume should make up for that.

Many thanks for any advice

Howdy;

Some prints require a private station - best way to solve this is using Droids, heh. Plus seems like the Critcal Failures are less using them. Best thing I like is /sample on something I want right now and be playing with schematics while doing so. Camp heals you, you get 1K or so of resource you wanted and MAYBE even got a decent schematic from the episode.

Other issue is WP's and DATA sharing same buffer. Droid (well made anyway) will hold 10 Items and 150 schematics !! Can slim down the Data accumulation without dropping wanted waypoints.

Or instead of CDEF's make Survival Knives which only require Metal and Mineral and you don't need to collect chemical at all
