My personal method of choice was wind survey tools, lots of steel and a decent set of macros

Agree! Build those harvesters. Hell, sell them for something, even if they're BER 1. They give massive XP.

Welcome to the grind!

I'm going for weaponsmith, and I have engineering IV, but I still have about 75% of the way to go to get novice weaponsmith. I figured all the weaponsmiths got here from where I am, so what are good things to craft to get general crafting XP, if I have Engineering IV. I have domestic I too soI can build fiberplast panels so I can build armor.

I think the absolute best way to reach weaponsmith is getting master artisan and make vehicles, if you have the resources and credits, you can make vehicles and sell them in the streets of coronet, you can make some money back and grind out master artisan alot faster than master weaponsmith. Artisan can be made in a day if you stick to it, then you can get your novice outside of 15 mins.

Like people have already said- harvesters are the way to go. With a crafting macro, I mastered the engineering/tailor/business parts of artisan in about an hour after I got engineering 3 and cranked out wind harvesters. I think it took me about an hour and a half each to grind up to novice weaponsmith and novice armorsmith.

Having the resouces and the macro to do this are separate issues.

Btw, when I say macro, I mean the in-game macro similar to the one stickied in this forum, not an outside macro program.

Can some kind soul point me in the direction of an artisan grinding macro? I poked around on the Artisan board and didn't find one. Thanks.

Yoink the WS macro in the Penultimate guide. And then just change the schematic ## to your artisan thing.
