Thread: (Non WS) Question about Repairing Weapons

I know repairing items has been kinda broken for a long time. The success/failure rates are pretty off, I've heard.

Well, I took a Krayt Laser Carbine to get repaired yesterday. It had a nice 400+ max damage, but the condition had gotten pretty poor (100/900), and the max damage had fallen to 110. I took it to get repaired by my guild's Master Weaponsmith, and he was successful. The Maximum condition dropped a bit, but that's normal, and he gave it back to me. When he gave it back, tho, the Max Damage was still at 110.

Is this normal? Or is this a bug? Either way, I've already filed a CSR Ticket, but I always thought the damage would return to it's usual value when it was repaired.

I'm not a WS, but I repaired a nice FWG5 when it got to half condition. The maximum condition dropped a bit, but the damage stayed the same. Thanks for the warning, though - I always assumed damage would stay the same.

have you used the weapon since? if so, are you noticing reduced damage coinciding with lowered stat, or has damage returned to normal but stat remains same. Just wondering how far bug extends - typo or actual reduced damage. the latter would be a serious bug indeed.

Once the weapon falls below 25% condition the damage will start to decrease. Between the 20-25% range most times the damagewill be fixed on a succes. The damage at that point hasn't dropped too far. But when you get down around 10% the amount of damage that was lowered is much greater becomes permanent when the weapon is repaired. I always tell my customers to get the weapon fixed at 35%(or somewhere close to that). Most don't really understand why till they wear a weapon down to 15% and realize the effect it has on the weapon.

Well, that's the first I've heard of that. Thanks for the heads-up.
