Thread: Does Quality of Grenades Matter Much?

I'm pretty new to the grenade market on my server. I've made my first batch of 'nades. I used some great resources and my stats are substantially better than most I see on my server. However, if I price at the same price as those guys with lower stats I would actually be able to make more just selling the resources. So, for those of you selling grenades, from your experience do customers really care at all about grenade stats? For example an extra 75-100 base max damage on c12's. Or is there not really a market for high quality grenades? Thanks for any input.

The difference between the end Stats and the resource cost are not really worth it. I use average materials and hit 770 max damage on C12's. If I use the best resources I hit about 897 max damage on C12's.

Your customers will prefer the cheaper priced grenades. They have to use a lot! That 100 points in Damage difference will be negligible in the experience earned versus credits spent.

Make the cheaper ones.

Grenades arent worth the effort period. I hope to god the devs fix the grenades out. Disposeable items need to be less resource intensive not more so. Do not ever bother makeing or selling grenades. People just want them for combat xp, and if you charge a fair price they will not sell.

lol on you all.

I've made millions and millions off of grenades.

Answer this: Jack and Jill both have grenade vendors in the same tent for the same price. Jack harvested all his own resources and used the very best in his grenades, his grenades are 50 points higher damage than Jill's.

Given a customer standing in front of both vendors, which do you think will get the sale?

From my own experience, even a few point difference above competitorswill get you the sale every time over nearby vendors.

Not only that but think about this one: Humans are very interesting creatures, there's a lot that goes on in the subconcious mind. A customer will see your higher-damage grenades and associate that with quality weapons across the board. This same concept is at play when it comes to vendor uniforms. Most merchants believe vendor uniforms are a useless nice-to-have function. Very untrue, when a customer sees a vendor that's pleasing to the senses (vision), andwell dressed they will, either conciously or subconciously, conclude that this weaponsmith must take pride in his weapons and pay attention to details.

Its debatable on how much of an effect on sales these tactics have, but make no mistake, they're effective.

I have to agree on Mogro here, customers told me they love my c12 grenades which are max 911 and spd 2.6 (without powerup). They do notice a difference, especially when adding an additional33% max dmg pup on them.

I put all my Vendors in Bright Red outfits with bright Blue or Green trims.

They really stand out in a line of Generic Vendors.
