Thread: New to WeaponSmith. Have a couple of Questions.

After playing as a Combat driven Character for soo long I wanted to try something new. Explore something different that the game had to offer. Decided on crafting and more to the point WeaponSmith. I have been grinding the past few days and still have a ways to go before reaching master, but never hurt to have a idea as to what I need.
I have been reading all the stickies here on the WS forums and either I'm poor at navigating through them or I'm just missing the answers to my questions because this is all so very new to me.
My first questions is on resources. What stats or resources should I look for for the best results and does it depend on the type of weapon I am trying to craft.
What type of special coponents should I be looking for to further increase the overall result. Such and Krayt Tissues...ect.
Most of my other questions were answered by whatI read here. These remaining two are the ones I still could use your input on. Thank you for your time
Well, basically you should be looking for the best possible stats on the resources you need. If you are starting from scratch - then I would advise focusing on just a few weapons as you will find it tough to get all the rsources you need for everything.
Try this link to give you an ideaof what resources you need and what the stats for each cap at (note its not been updated properly for the CU, but its very helpful) http://tfhl.net/swg/wsrg.html
Go to vendor search from one of the bazaars and spend as long as it takes to go through the resources - you do sometime get some great stuff for reasonable amounts, you may also get lucky and have a WS on your server quit and sell off his stuff - and the chances are you will need to useseveral 30k Resource Kit.
Start off with your subcomponent resources, get all the resources you need for Advanced Blaster Power Handlers, projectile Feed mechanismsand then the resources forBlaster and Projectile Pistol and Rifle Barrels, and Advanced Stocks. to find what you need you can check your schematics list or go to SWGcraft.com and check the schematics section.
Don't waste money of sub-standard resources, because as soon as you find better you will never use themand you will struggle to sell weapons that dont come up to standard - resources are the single most important thing to a WS, so hunt and hunt for the best.
