Ok, here's the question:

Once the crafters start quitting one by one, or halt production until a fix comes, and (assuming) over-time most of the consumable goods are depleted, will this game become like its initial days, when nobody had good weapons/harvesters/armor/food/spice? Will we be running around with CDEFs and Lasers looted off "a cannibal" on Tatooine?

Just to take your mind off this nasty, nasty bug that has been pushed live and have fun a bit (well, what is there so much fun about such a bug, I don't know, but entertain yourselves )

I think the answer to that is phat loot/quest rewards that beat what can be crafted..... at least in regards of WS.

I went to Avatar and came back with 3 awesome pistiols(i'm aslo a smuggler) and they don't even require any skills to use. I can't make anythin' as good without some uber tissues not to mention they look cooler than anythin' I can craft... why would ppl bother askin' me to make 'emweapons again? just use ADK and save your money!

I think the question is will there be room for crafting professions in the future. All they need to do is have more loot drops like the weapon stat buffs, better-than-craftable weapons, and armor then we're in trouble. Then have NPC weaponsmiths and armorsmiths you pay a fee to and have your gear returned to 100% condition.

This game is a couple very scary steps from being not fun at all. Personally, I find crafting to be the only redeeming quality in the game now after they stripped everything else that made the game unique.

When the devs start making the game too n00b friendly, and we start having serious crafting changes, then it's over with. SOE can't compete in a clone market when their product and support is this bad.

I just pray there isn't a day when it's 'add one Orgleblossom and two pinches of Tatooine Sand' for non-stat crafting.

I still don't get why they purposely made all these quest\loot weapons so easy to get and so much better than what we can make.

They could have at least made them allin schematic format so we could get involved somewhere along the lines.

By the time the last WS quitsabout 30% of the players (that means the BH) will have their uber weapons ADKed... while the other 70% of the players (that means the jedi) won't care anyway.
