If one was to get into the mining business. What would be let's say top ten resource to harvest? I don't mean Meats, milk... So basically what are the most in demand resources. thanks

The answer to your question will depend on who you're trying to sell to. If your target audience is Doctors, the top 10 would be Avian Meat, Herbivore Meat, Lokian Wild Wheat, Tatoonian Fiberplast, Dantoonian Berries, Class 4 Liquid Petrochemical Fuel, Talusian Water, Dolovite Iron.
Okay, that's only 8, but that's what we need.
A weaponsmith has completely different requirements. Lots of specific Irons, Steels, Coppers, etc.
Also, www.swgcraft.com is a great website. Helps with tracking resources, schematics and harvester calculations.

Most respec Master Crafters have the same problem. Here's a clue. It took me six months to collect all the WS resources at ANY quality, and a year to collect the best. Some of our most important resources are very rare spawns. And getting them to spawn decently is...well...they already have so if you missed the spawn, you'll be getting second or third best.
swgcraft is a very good site, particularly for finding what to use your 30K Resource Crates on. For a brand new respec master to compete, you'll probably need to buy your resources. Good luck. We tend to horde these resources like a dragon.
Crafting isn't just a profession, it's a lifestyle.

Resources, now more than ever, are the key to a successful wepsmith business. IMHO, I'd take all that money you've set aside for a +12 suit and invest it in resources, particullarly the ones that make the important components.
The Galaxy-wide search is your friend, I've found some really-old-spawn resources on there, wasting away on a forgotten vendor. In addition, with the way crafting works now, a 2nd or 3rd best spawn might not hurt the end result too much.
SWGCraft is a great resource when it's updated. I know we have a dedicated few folks that keep Sunrunner up to date, hopefully your server has the same (or you could become that guy :smileywink![]()
Since resources play so heavily in the craft, you may as well get used to hitting that survey tool on any planet you travel to and sampling here and there as a habit. I've been collecting resources for almost a year now (took me 3 months before i could produce any melee weapons of any quality and 6 months before I could even think about making a gun) and I still make it a habit to at least open up the survey window whenever I travel.
Best of luck and welcome to the family
