Thread: How do I increase a Pistols Minimum Damage?

I am not a Weaponsmith myself but am looking to provide necessary components to create myself a High Capacity Scatter with a really good minimum damage. Are there lootable Krayt Tissues that alter Minimum Damage rather than Maximum Damage? Also are their Gorax bones and the such that will alter my minimum damage? If anyone can tell me what I need to be on the lookout for then please let me know.

No and no. Minimum is only raised by experimenting and that also raises the max damage. There's no loot to just raise min.

Thanks for the reply. What would be a good minimum damage for a High Capacity Scatter anyhow? I'm currently using one that has about 450 minimum damage before PU and almost 600 with a Damage PU on it. Is this a good minimum damage for a pistol?

Nobody can answer that one due to resource differneces on each server. Best bet is swgcraft.com and look up the best resources on YOURserver and see how your stuff stacks up. As always your final product will only be as good as the resources used to make it.

Your min is better than mine. I can experiment up to 94% and have damage of 391-797.

Only way I would think it would be possible is to find some looted advanced projectile pistol barrels. Then completely damage slice the weapon. I found some advanced blaster pistol barrels with 30 min 30 max damage on my server for sale so they are out there just gonna be hard to find. Basically use some good krayt tissue but you dont want to cap damage. Get damage to maybe 910 or so and slice up the min/max damage from there.

From what I've read it appears that the greater a targets Defenses are versus your accuracy the closer towards your minimum damage you will deal. As a MBH I do alot of Jedi hunting and with Master Defender being such a popular choice in many templates Jedi can have very high defenses (600+). With my template of MBH/MCM/Pisoleerxxx4 I'm only getting around 140 accuracy which will force my weapons damage down towards the minimum rather than towards the maximum. Therefore having a higher minimum damage is much more important to me than having a high max damage as I'll never be able to actually realize the maximum damage potential of my weapon..

Damage pup's are based off the min damage, thus a +30% damage pup will add 30% of the min to both the min and max.

Also min dam will determine the damage on a very high defense target when attacking with low accuracy. Damage done is scaled from min to max based on accuracy vs defense. High accuracy vs low defense scales towards max, high def vs low accuracy scales towards min.
