Thread: experimenting, **edit** is goin on what this dam thing?!?!?!
ok im a novice weaponsmith and every time that i try to experiment, things dont look right.
here:
power handler for a pistol, what i dont understand is on average for this item for attack speed is -0.19
is that good? how do i reduce the attack speed? is it closer to : 0.00 ?
should i even try to experiment with the pistol barrel / power handler?
or should i experiment with the gun itself?
btw i dont have any experimentation skills, so what is the best advice?
when i experiment the attack speed goes down and the sometimes the max damage goes up? is this right?
if someone with great knowledge can please explain to me, i would greatly appreciate it or if anyone has any links that would be great in helpin me
A: more experimentation points would reduce this speed further.... a -.19 is a better/faster pwrhandler then a 0.00

Q:should i even try to experiment with the pistol barrel / power handler? or should i experiment with the gun itself?
A:like previous post said... yes always..all sub comps.. all final assemblies
--------
Q:btw i dont have any experimentation skills, so what is the best advice?
A:climb the tech tree first... its a pain that you cant make any weapons for awhile... but its the only way that you are going to possably sell something... its REALLY hard to be a seller, before you attain master... and more experimentation points is the only way that you are going to craft weapons that are anywhere close to quality

Q:when i experiment the attack speed goes down and the sometimes the max damage goes up? is this right?
A:yes this is... there are different qualities of the experimentation... failures, successes, moderate successes, great successes, amazing successes... and probably more inbetween...
so lets take a experimentation on dmg... a experimentation on dmg will increase 4 stats on the gun.... speed, max dmg, min dmg, and wound %..... now lets say that it was a moderate success.... 3 of those 4 stats will increase.. which 3 is random... lets say it was a great success, all 4 stats will increase
BTW... to be honest im not sure if an experimentation on dmg increases speed, min, max, and wound... it could be just speed, min, and max... that info left my brain about an hour ago.. when i was supposed to be in bed
Hope that helps
well thats help me to better understand, i really thought that i was goin crazy or something but now i get it thanks.
if theres any other advice that would be great
Lower speed is better. A 1.0 speed gun shoots every 1.0 seconds, while a 8.9 speed gun shoots once every 8.9 seconds.
And yes, always experiment damage on everything. On subcomponents, toss extra points into range or efficiency. On the final combine, toss extra points into condition or efficiency.

Man i am having the same problem and i was going to ask the same exact question dont feel bad man i am sure someone else has the same question also..So basically you are saying just do damage on most of the items is what it seems to me...But what do the other ones do? I know one of them is ham and the other condition but not sure which one is which..Thanks for the time and sorry to hijack your thread..
yea man it kinda sux because like half the time i get like some failures, which suck big time man
