Thread: New WS starting up, need some advice on resources please.

Hi ill figure the crafting out on my own eventually, but would really like some help with some resource basics.
What i mean is are there certain resources for a weaponsmith that quality doesnt really matter for helping weapons.
I dont want to go out and buy some good resource for this when really it doesnt help you make better guns and stuff.
And also mabye if someone can list some primary resources ill be going through lots of. Im mostly interested in making guns, especially rifles.
Would appreciate any resource info help. Thanks.

Off the top of my head the only things I can think of where quality doesn't matter are Power Conditioners and Control Units, but there are probably more that I can't think of.
Check the stickies at the top of the board for info on resources etc there are far too many for me to list here. Also read up on resource caps, that'll help you when buying resources.

I would also reccommend gaining a basic understanding of resource stat caps. I finally understood thatmy metal with cond 198 doesnt suck.... since its max stat is 200. Means I have a 99% perfect mineral in a schematic that calls for that specific metal. Takes some getting used to but if you stickie a board with list of mineral stats or add a page to your favorties, it will make life (and mineral hunting) alot easier.

Welcome to the WS boards!
Muzz hit it on the head...EVERYTHING matters in weapon crafting (thank goodness) with the exception of those components, which are crafted by M. Artisan anyway.
HERE you can find information these guys have been referring to regarding resource caps.
As a general rule, CD/OQ are gonna be your biggies regarding rifles, with the exception of the resources needed for the barrels(HR/SR), scopes(OQ), stocks(SR) and adv. proj. feed mechanisms(UT)...lol, now that i write that, it doesn't seem to narrow it down, but THIS is where I started to make a list of all the resources.
Get yourself a spiral notebook and start making lists....hehe, i still have them all over the place.
