Thread: Help with crafting PH's...
It really depends on the selection of bones at your disposal. If all you have is base bones (65dmg) then you will be better off just going with geo components; in the rare circumstance that you have some 150+ damage bones, then definately go for the bones!
Realize though that you will not be able to hit less than 95ish SAC when using the bones, and you might be better off settling with the 104SAC pre-CU hammers have so you can get the most damage possible out of the bones.
With respect to geo components, I like to use the red cubes to reduce SAC, because 10-15 extra damage isnt worth a reduction upwards of 10 SAC. With the right geo loot, for example -10 or better SAC red cubes, and 20 damage or better solidifying agent, it's possible to craft a 1k+ damage PH with mid to low 80's SAC, but you gotta hope for an amazing success or two.
The gray area in my book is around the 100dmg mark with bones; chances are you will end up with about the same result using 100ish damage bones as you will with -10ish SAC red cubes and 20ish damage agent.
Hope this helps

Just a little heads up on what can be done with -13/-14 cubes and +18/+27 agents. From personal experience on how mine turned out.
82 sac 982 max(-14 +18)
82 sac 993 max(-13 +27)
85 sac 1017 max(-14 +18)
89 sac 1021 max(-14 +19)
90 sac 1023 max(-14 +19)
92 sac 1044 max(-13 +27) This is the one I will be using once I get rid of my Pre-CU hammer
94 sac 1038 max(-14 +18)
As you can see, the damage difference is pretty minor, with 12 amazings on the core the 2nd hammer only turned out 11 damage higher than the first using agents 9 damage higher.
It also seems the difference between -14 and -13 cubes is somewhat negligable, as both turn out to have the same results in the end. So its not absolutely necesary to hold out for -14's if you have 13's laying around.
Hope this helps.
