Thread: Is the 2% resource quality boost visible while crafting?

Hi all,

I have managed to get the WS buff a couple of times (good luck finding an ATKMaster Musician) and the Artisan buff a few more (1% better than 0% i guess). When I return to my lab and start crafting, I expect to see the resource quality numbers reflect the 2% boost in the resource window just before Assembly.

I don't! Is it supposed to be visible or are we to derive the boost from the end result? Up to this point I have not had any noticeable effect and I have checked against my pre-Pub 23 data.

Looks like the buff and I are incompatible .. Anyone else see anything similar?

It is visible to me when I have the buff.

Please specify what you are trying to craft that doesnt get noticable better. As an example MY APBH didnt get better in neither SAC nor dam with the +2 buff, but Now I can reach the same stats with my second best resources. (what I am trying to say is that with some items the buff might not meana lot of (if any) difference)

Onmy endproducts however I get about 4-5 points more on max dam

OK ... then that means that you cannotlog between getting the buff and crafting. All times I got buffed, I logged out before I crafted and I saw no effect at all even though the icon was on and showing time left on the buff. I definitely did not see the stats boosted by 2% (when under the WS buff) or 1% (when under the Artisan buff).

For the sake of the discussion,I tried comparingweapons (Elite Carbines in fact). I noticed that with sub-components because of the wide range between value borders, I would not get a good indication of whether the buff had an effect. In other words, even without the buff, I don't need to use my best resources to get a -9 SAC on my ABPHs when using 9 points on the Efficiency line. There is a lot of play in those ranges. You will actually get a better reading playing with the Speed line because that line has the granularity for it.

For weapons, on the other hand, each exp point will produce an effect of multiple dmg pts for instance, so even a small change in resource stat and quality will register a corresponding change in that line. Just easier to observe I guess.

So I thentried to match the experimentation results on each line so that I can compare 2 carbines made with the exact same materials and having the exact same experimentation results on each line. I was able to do that and noticed no difference in the resulting weapon attributes.

So I guess, the question now becomes ... has anyone else notice their buff go away because they logged between getting the buff and crafting?

I noticed that the 2% buff has pretty much no effect on my sub-components. But on the final combine for the weapon, I squeeked out four more points of maxdamage on my ALR using the same resources as before, so it does seem to work. I still can't hit 100% on anything though, and I don't understand why that is...maybe I'm just misunderstanding how the buff is supposed to work. And for the record, I got the buff, then logged out and back in later and it seemed to work.

By looking at the initial assemly % I can see that the buff is carrying over between logging in/out for me. Are you doing the proper /logout and stuff?

hmm ... not sure! I am always hitting the Exit button of the toolbar. I never type /logout ... I figured since I always exit while in a safe place it didn't matter. Wrong assumption?
