Thread: ABPH of 239 turned into Advanced laser garbage.. what i do wrong?

I used 191 tissue to make ABPH's of 21-239 -1.56 speed 0 attack cost. after making the required factory run i took them out and unstacked and made the advanced laser rifle, all materials greenlined to max or close. The barrel was made immediately before i made the rifle.. I used pre cu dropped accuracy scopes and pre cu selfmade stocks <sac reduction stocks> It wasnt a customer per se, but it's hard to tell a good friend his uber krayt tissue turned int a crap weapon.


2.5 speed, 414 1113 damage, 62 acc, 92 sac. I had no failures experimenting or initial assembly, was it the components or the entertainer weaponsmith buff? or am i being punished by the gods? all foods and drinks were used appropriately, I'm not new to this, I know when i make a mistake, i did not this time.

I wouldn't exactly say its a crap weapon (its better than a Heavy Weapon, you can tell your friend ) but...

That might be your problem, might have helped experimenting all the way on SAC (to -8) with the advanced power handlers, this would've gotten the SAC down to either the SAC Cap or one experimentation point into it, and then whatever else you have left into speed on the actual weapon.

It's hardly crap, but it looks as though on the final assembly you experimented quite a bit in speed.

I just made another one useing 111 tissue and i did exp the sac to -3 attack cost and ended up with 85 sac, but the damage is 1042 speed 2.52, and once again blast damage not energy. I think the dropped scopes are messing them up. Or my old pre cu stocks.. kind of stupid using acc bonus subcomponents when it doesnt actually do anything... i'll try again with some other tissue tommorrow and update this.

I did not experiment alot in speed, i have been making some of the best weapons on my server for over a year, it's just some of these new changes do not seem to be working like they should, why the heck are these things blast damage for one, and why does 111 tissue make comparable to the 192's. I know what i'm doing, except the results arnt what they should be, not even close.

One thing I do on ABPH and Adv. Projectile Feed Mechs, I go 6 points each into Speed and Efficiency (SAC). And on the Adv. Barrels I go 6 points each into Damage and SAC.


This Technique provides both a lower SAC and a quite good overall Base DPS (this comes in within a few points if you went speed on both ABPH and Barrel). So thosefew points don't make abig enough difference for most customers to notice. All most care about is the lower SAC.

what where the stats on the barrels u used? resource quality also could have played a factor... but most importantly was teh damage maxed out in exp? in all honesty you could have made a better gun with 170, -.60,-7 sac cells...

ok simple maths time


tissue = 111 you got 1042 max dam


tissue = 191 you got 1113 max dam


difference between the weapons max dams is 1113-1042 = 71


difference between tissue dams is 191-111 = 80


looks like you expermineted a little more on damage (or got better sucesses) on the second one - but the numbers are exactly what id expect them to be


the question why dont 111 give as good as 191 is silly - it will give exactly the same weapon as the 191 but with 80 less max damage...


as for BLAST damage this is a known bug but just log out and in - or place them in a house and leave and return 30 mins later and it will return to energy

I seem to be getting by ok by doing the following:


ABPH: full SAC then Damage

Barrel: full SAC then split Damage and Speed

Stock: I aim for -12 and 0.023 speed (or use pre cu ones for special orders)


final weapon: Max damage... lower SAC...


Get it sliced and split 50/50 on damage and speed.


Using the above, I produced a SAC capped Elite carbine at 960ish maximum damage. I think I used +95 tissues. It is still unsliced at the moment too

Whenever I make ALR's with tissues, I experiment all in sac getting at least -9 in the ABPH's/-9 in the barrel and -24 in the stock. Use any remaining points toyour customer liking. Upon assembly i'm right at 83 on sac. With a looted scope or pre cu equipment you could have really maximized this alr. With 170 tissues -0.33, I was able to make an alr that was 1148 max damage 82 sac 2.6 speed.


With cells, you have a little more to play with. I generally go -13 on the ABPH/-9 barrel and -22 on the stock. With this im already at 82 sac upon assembly. This allows me to go all damage then have points left over to place where I like either speed or acc. With 176 -8 sac cells i made a 1174 alr by using this technique.

I dont think there is anything wrong with the game craftingsystem. but you will need to tell us the stats on all the resources (oq and con) used to make the ALR, and the stats on the rifle barrel as well.

Experiment on SAC all the way on all subcomponents... anything left into speed.


That way final assembly starts with an SAC you hardly have to touch, so you can max the damage
