Can any race achieve the 12-point weaponsmith through the use of BE clothes? If so, how costly is it?
I wanted to make a non-human, non-Mon Calamari, non-Rodian weaponsmith, but I don't want to be outdone just because I'm an inferior race.

Any race can bea 12 point smith, its just a matter of getting the looted CA's and AA's with a bonus to Weapon experimentation. You can not get this from BE clothing, only looted CA's and AA's will work. Should cost you from 20 - 40 million depending on hte going rate on the server and quality of the attackment

So, does being a human to start with help significantly towards becoming a 12-point weaponsmith for less?

none at all, but helps out if you are doing artisan stuff though.
Btw I looted a +13 WS exp (which I traded to a lucky smith for a 30k resource kit and decay kit), he was a wookie and that put him over the top. Figure in the +3 you can get from the WS toolkit schematic which shouldn't be too expensive into your figures. Only disadvantage is you have to take your backpack off.

Yeah, as a Wookiee you can even hit 12 points without using the toolkit as you have six other items of clothing to work with.

I would say the benefit of being human or zabrak would be that you can wear almost any piece of looted clothing there is, and all the tusken stuff, and to my knowledge there is a few items i know have been looted on my server from tuskens with weapon assembly and experimentation mods, one of hte other benefits is taht you can have a total of7items of clothing on at the same time, Jacket/duster, shirt, bando, belt, gloves, hat, boots, pants, and hence have 2 items than for instance a Dosh

Being Human may give you the largest choice of clothing, but they do not make the best weaponsmiths.
As a Mon-C I get +10 to my Weapon Assembly skill, allowing me to reach +135. It's not a huge boost but, all else being equal, my base assembly percentages will be higher than anyone elses and I'll have fewer failures.
Anyone who chooses to play a Rhodian WS, gets +10 to their Weapon Experimentation Skill. Can a Rhodian be a 13pt smith?
And the Wookies, theyget to make the Bowcaster (Feel the WookieLove

rhodians are +10 to assembly, which is useless anyway when using pyollian cake

Human / Zabrak Female characters can't equip Tusken items, which are very common for having WS exp / ass mods. Which sux for me ![]()
Also, you can do the village quests for +20 assembly, +20 experimentation and +7 focus (and +20 repair if you really want it, but it's broken), and the "Luck" mod has been rumoured to affect initial assembly too.

any race can be 12 points, as stated above, its all about getting tapes.
while looted clothing can have nice mods, its best to customize your weaponsmith outfit. i could not imagine running around in a bandolier with like 5 other funny looking looted clothing items.
to me, style and appearance is very important. i dont think i'd ever even consider wearing tuskan stuff cause its flat out ugly. then again female twi's couldnt wear it anyway.
