I am curious about the need of combat skills(as my crafter is lvl one) and also, how many skill points do you need to get the full line of FS Crafting from the respective Jedi skill tree?

If in any way you are able to get the experimentation and assembly line of the crafting tree I higly recommend doing so. Youll get more amazings, frankly I havent had a moderate success since I bacame FS (Knock On wood) and these days where amazings is so important it is a real benefit.

(oh and group with a level 80 player (even thou youre not on the same planet) when going to the village, that way youll benefit from the level protection, even thou I still woulndt like the trip)

You need 16 SP to get the full line of crafting, if you want all 4 of them. Each FS skill box takes 1 SP (except novice and master boxes, which take none). As for combat skills, you don't need them for the FS crafting tree skills, but theycan help you survive the journey to and from the village if you have them. If you don't (or even if you), I would still take the previous poster's advice and group with a CL80 character because it will help as well.

Master Force Crafter is great, its great for advertising even though at least 1 of the trees is defunct. I haven't repaired a weapon in aaaaaaaaages <3 ADKs lol. Also I get many many many more amazings than other smiths I've talked to, couple FS with being a dancer/musician able to inspire myself and bespin port its about the best you can get

I'm Crafting Master and never get anything but greats and amazings. I think only experimentation and assembly matter now. You need 1225000 FS crafting experience for each of these. Weapon crafting experience converts 1:5 to FS crafting experience so that's 12.25 million weapon crafting exp to finish these two lines. Heavy Warhead Mechs give you 735 exp so you can get there by grinding a mere 16667 HWMs or get full crafting mastery with just 33333 HWMs. The first box or two in each line will improve your experiments if you don't grind it all.

Getting to the Village is actually easy with no combat skills. From Science Outpost go South towards the Dath Tarpits where the land gets flat then head straight to the village. I've taken this route dozens of times and have never gotten killed or even hit. The flat part of Dath is fairly safe. Ranged attackers seem to have a delay in getting agro'd now so they won'tagro if you keep moving. Melee attackers will agro but only after you pass them, so they don't hit you. Just don't drive past anything that spawns too far in front of youand don'tget stuck too long on a tree or log. The stuff that spawns as you pass it should be no trouble.

Some of the content badges you need to get glowy may be tough now without armor and buffs. The combat part was easy before the CU but will probably be much harder now. You need to kill things that are combat level 20-25. You may need a combat type to group with youand do thekilling.

I don't envy anyone who intends to train all FS crafting trees.

Good luck to you

Got all 4 during double xp week. Then kept my hand shoved in a bucket of ice for the whole next week to recover

You don't need combat if you want to become aforce sensitive crafter. Why would you?!

By the way, you don't need combat even if you want to become padawan.

I am lvl 3, have 4 trees from force crafting and 2 trees from senses (merchant xp converted to senses fs xp).

You don't need to have combat to earn the FS boxes, but to BECOME FS? i think you do. Just think of the locations you have to go in to become glowy? Warren and theme park mainly.

I ground up to 0002 DE and did the advanced frames for all 4 trees. It took more clicks, but the resources were easy (with JTL steel and fiber spawns lasting 3 weeks and concentrations over 90%) and I could take tons of steel and fiber with me to the village, so there weren't as many trips back home to pick up more supplies.
