Ok, I haven't been doing much crafting since the respec period started and I got stuck without my master WS professions for a while (just got it back 3 days ago).
Anyway, my question is that with powerups now having around 500 uses and can lower sac on weapons, would adding one to a weaponsay 100 SAC be something you think your customers would buy into? Especially with ADK kits making weapon condition loss obsolete due to having it powered up.
I haven't played with the powerups yet in any real detail. So how much would it lower SAC?
My main reason for asking is becuase I really don't want to do what every other WS is doing on my server. If I could use powerups with my weapons, then I could stand to go a little light on the SAC and maybe beef up speed or Damage.
I can't remeber off the top of my head what SAC powerups have a disadvantage in....I'm thinking accuracy....if that's the case, then that's to overcome since it's nearly impossible to miss many shots in CU...plus there's accuracy food.
THis would not only make my weapons different, but it would create a small market for powerups as well.
Also, I'm not looking to become the king of the server or best known WS around or anything. Just looking to be a change of pace from all the follow the leader, low SAC is best type of weaponsmith's. Not that theres anything wrong with that though...
So anyone have any idea about this or would I be wasting my time?

SAC power ups rock ... If you take the right weapon with a high max damage (capped even) a decent speed and a low SAC (post CU around 85) and pop a SAC power up on it (looking at around 60 to 65 SAC if I recall) ... you can fire that thing all day with the appropriate buffs or foods of course.

Why not get the SAC low and use a Max Damage powerup? The combinations are endless, but honestly I prefer getting the SAC low than getting speed low. There are speed mods, tapes, etc, but there are no SAC mods except for powerups.

I do speed than SAC on mysubs ... then max damage on final assembly then rest into SAC on regular stock. Usually end up with a nice weapon and sub 100 SAC (Float around 95 for most).
On enhanced Weapons (i.e. Gorax/Krayt) I do speed to what the normal unenhanced component would be then xp the rest into SAC. Usually end up with a krayt tissue ABPH at -1.90+ with -4 to -6 SAC. Then I do the Damage and SAC on final assembly end up around 85 to 90 depending if I use pre CU subs (Stock/Barrel). My weapons have been flying off of the shelf so much I burned myself out of weaponsmithing and am taking a break.
That is what works on Naritus, according to my favorite BHs.

Well, you could do it the other way too. I am curious as to which will give more damage overall. And knowing the regen rate would help too. No point in wasting points if you don't have to.

All I know is I run out of action while firing my 84 SAC exceptional repub blaster (411dps) even with a speed slowing max damage increasing powerup. This is cycling between quickshot & body shot & intimidate shot. This is with food and spice. I havent had a chance to test out my new powerup (SAC) but the cost now is 59 instead of 84. I'm thinking I could probalby fire almost constantly with that kind of powerup.
