Thread: Your thoughts if u are a HIGH END 12PT CRAFTER using pre-cu parts, for ways to make THIS WEAPON

New question: If you had tissues around +175, and you want to make an advanced laser rifle with pre-cu parts, and u want sac to be 90 or less, and u want dam at 1100 at least, and GOOD min dam ....can u use a formfitted stock (pre-cu with damage...no sac reduction).....or would sac be too high

You'll easily get 1100+, I did with 143 tissue. SAC should be below 90 with pre-cu weapon stocks.
DON'T USE FORM FITTED STOCKS! They will turn the damage to blast and then your nice rifle will do 0-1 damage.
All you need is the best resources you can get your hands on.

pre-cu form fitted stocks don't work?

I made a new ALR for my rifleman alt the other nite using some +118 tissues, my goal for this rifle was to hit 82 SAC, and still retain some nice damage stats. Results were 2.67 speed, 476-1111 damage, and 82 SAC.
Here's how I put it together :
Experiment the Krayt Adv Power Handlers to -9 SAC, then put the rest of the points into damage.
For the final build I used a pre-CU stock (-20 SAC) and pre-CU barrel (-6 SAC)
During experimentation I put three points in to lowering the SAC, which hit 82 exactly, no wastage.
My remaining nine points I put towards damage.

hmm, sounds like if i use form fitted stocks (the ones with max/min dam but no sac reduction), even with amazing experimentations i might not be able to get sac down below 90 ...any thoughts?
...edit: hah found the info about the loot stocks being bugged...thank you for advising me of this AldaronTavish

I prefer post CU stocks, +1.xx speed (really is only +.1 speed to the final build) and -23 SAC. I was able to make some nice -82 1000max dmg laser rifles using pre-cu barrel and abph (the abph was only -6 SAC but had nice dmg and speed).

This is for chimera- dont know if it applies to your server:
A WS shouldget95 sac with pre-cu components, assuming you exp damage and speed on the final build. A post-cu krayted handler will be about -8/-9 sac as compared to the pre-cu one of -6, which will get you to 92.
If you exp damage to the max then itwill start at about 970 ish before the krayt tissue, you i would expect to get 1120 max. Any 12 pts WS will have at least 2 additonal points to put into eff, which will bring the sac below 90.

I made a Krayt Elite Carbine yesterday with a Form Fitted Stock and it came out Energy Damage.So it seems the stocks are fine.

Ive made both advanced laser rifles and T21s with formfitted stocks and they have all come out with energy as damage type

ok, with form fitted stocks though any way to get an advanced rifle down to 90 sac while dam is up over 1100?

the SAC reducer on pre-cu stocks is -20, so using a form fitted stock is basically committing yourself to using 5-7 points of experimentation to reduce the SAC. my base lasers are 984 after 8 points put into dmg, with an average increase of 15dmg per point. so that would mean i start at approx 864:
864 + 173 = 1037
1100 - 1037 = 63 = at least 4 experimentation
so yes, with extra dmg you pick up fro mthe formfitted stock it is possible to hit 1100 dmg and 90 SAC with the tissue you mentioned... well, on Sunrunner it is anyway

When was this? Did it get fixed because last I heard they were borked.
