Thread: Adv blaster power handler tell me this! Logix pls read!
Ok I was making a batch of adv blaster power handlers. I make them 20-40 -.40 with one set of resources. I was messing around with some stuff and found out something weird. I tried using gas with 50 less oq on it and they came out 20-40 -.38. I know for a fact 50 points is not going tooraise the speed .02 points. The only other difference in the gass where decay resistance. The ones I made 20-40 -.40 ones with had 300-400 more decay resistance on it than the one that made 20-40 -.38. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this a bug in the way it calculates the max range for the resources?
What stats is everyone else getting on their adv. blaster power handles?
Thanks for your help!

That made no sense at all. Resource attributes have a direct affect on the quality of the item. 50 points of OQ for .02 points of speed sounds exactly like the tradeoff you should have experienced. There is no bug... I am baffled as to why you think there is something wrong here.
Were you only expecting only a .01 difference perhaps? If so, the simplest explanation is that there is no bug and the the system is rounding numbers. Just a guess though. Perhaps your first gas produced a power handler that was really-0.395 but the system just rounded down for ya to -0.40. But when it came to the second gas, the number was -0.384 so it rounded up to -0.38. So, in reality your difference is only .011, but the rounding of the numbers made it a difference of .02. Keep in mind this explanation is being provided to you by a biologist and not a computer scientist lol. ![]()

Why I think something is wrong is this. I have experimented a lot with different resources for different things and from my experience 50 points is not going to drop the max an attribute is going to reach by .02. Like I said there was a major difference between the two gases when it comes to decay resistance. Hope this cleared some things up for you. Here are the stats on the resources used in the 20-40 -.40 handles.
Copper cd-780 oq-811
Polymer oq-981
Ore oq-865
Aluminum cd-791 oq-619
Gas oq-876 dr-328
The 20-40 -.38 handle used all the same except gas and here is the stats:
Gas oq-826 dr-3
Thanks!
reactive gas is the largest ingredient in the entire schematic 16 units.. comming in second is polymer at 10.
5 copper
5 ore
8 alum
10 poly
16 gas
for damage its 66/33 cond/oq of the OQ considered the gasdominates some 36% of the of the results
yourOQ rating of the copper is811 x 5u = 4055
yourOQ rating of the Aluminum is619 x8u = 4952
yourOQ of the ore is865 x 5u =4325
your OQ of the poly is981 x 10u = 9810
yourOQ rating of your old gas is876 x 16u = 14016
yourOQ of your new gas is826 x 16u = 13216
average effective OQ rating of the old PH =37158 / 44 = 845
average effective OQ rating of the new PH = 36358 / 44 = 826
thats a 3% drop in effective OQ
so no it doesnt surprise me that you suffered a .02 speed reduction considering how many different roundings occur during crafting. You DO realize that .02 doesnt even show up in the final stat of your gun unless it was on the edge and rounding up and now is rounding down right?
Thanks! I had forgotten to even take into account the amount of each resource when thinking about this. Thanks Eeman for not flaming and actually explaining.
